Motorbikes in Valencia: Day Rates, Licences and Pick-Up Areas
Motorcycle rental in Valencia starts from €30 a day for a 125 cc bike, and the middle of 55 day-priced models sits at €60. Below: what a daily, weekly and monthly price includes, how engine size and class move the rate, which licence each bike needs, what deposit to expect and where the bikes are picked up.
How a motorbike is priced: day, week or month
Every bike in this section has a starting price per day. That single unit makes the models easy to line up against each other, but it is only the first figure of a booking: the total depends on how many days you ride, whether a longer rate applies and how much is held as a deposit.
What you rent: the bike, ridden by you
A motorbike hire here is self-ride: you collect the bike, ride it yourself for the agreed days and bring it back. The market offers three working modes for these bikes — by the day, by the week or month, and always ridden by the renter. Every model with a stated seat count takes two people, a rider and a passenger, so the price per day is the price for the bike, not per person. Rent-Trip brings these models together in one place so you can compare engine sizes, classes and day rates before asking for a dated quote.
The daily price and how to read it
The day rate on each card is a starting price without dates. It tells you where a model sits against the others — €30 for a Yamaha MT-125, €75 for a Yamaha Ténéré 700, €120 for a BMW R 1300 GS Adventure — but a quote for specific dates can be higher. In my experience, the most useful habit is to ask for the total for your exact days, not the rate per day, because that is the figure you will actually pay before the deposit.
Weekly and monthly rates
For three models a monthly price is stated next to the daily one, and the gap is large:
- Brixton Crossfire 125: €58 a day or €490 a month — the monthly price equals about 8.4 days at the daily rate.
- Brixton Crossfire 500 XC: €75 a day or €800 a month — about 10.7 days at the daily rate.
- Brixton Cromwell 1200: €95 a day or €800 a month — about 8.4 days at the daily rate.
So on all three bikes, a stay of more than 11 days costs less on the monthly rate than day by day. For the other models no monthly price is stated, which does not mean there is none: if you plan a week or more, ask whether a weekly or monthly rate applies before you compare totals.
Day rates for 55 models, from €30 to €120
The 55 motorbike models in this section start between €30 and €120 a day. The median is €60 and the average €64.55, so a typical mid-size bike costs about twice as much as the cheapest 125 cc models.
How the 55 day rates are spread
| Day rate | Models | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| up to €40 | 8 | Yamaha MT-125, Kawasaki Z 125, Voge 300AC, Macbor Montana XR5, Suzuki GSX-R 600 |
| €41–60 | 21 | Honda CB 650 R, Yamaha MT-07 A2 ABS, Ducati Monster 937, KTM 990 Duke, BMW G 310 GS |
| €61–80 | 15 | Yamaha Ténéré 700, BMW F 900 GS, Ducati Streetfighter V2, Harley-Davidson Sportster XL 1200 X Forty |
| €81–100 | 6 | BMW F 900 GS Adventure, CFMOTO 450MT, Moto Morini X-Cape 650, Brixton Cromwell 1200 |
| over €100 | 5 | BMW S 1000 XR, BMW S 1000 RR, BMW R 1300 GS, BMW R 1300 GS Adventure, Ducati Panigale V4 AM73 Edition |
Two thirds of the models — 36 of 55 — start between €41 and €80. Below that band are the small bikes and a few older middleweights; above it are the large adventure tourers and superbikes.
The cheapest bikes
Six models start at €30 a day: the Yamaha MT-125, Yamaha XSR 125, Kawasaki Z 125, Daelim Roadwin 125 FI, Orcal Sirio and the 300 cc Voge 300AC. Five of them are 125 cc, and the Voge is the only bike above 125 cc at this price. The next step up is the 500 cc Macbor Montana XR5 from €39 and the 600 cc Suzuki GSX-R 600 from €40 — a 2010 sports bike, which shows how the build year pulls a price down.
The most expensive bikes
At the top, the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure and the Ducati Panigale V4 AM73 Edition both start at €120 a day, followed by the BMW R 1300 GS and BMW S 1000 RR at €110 and the BMW S 1000 XR at €105. All five are 1,000 cc or larger, and four of them are BMWs. BMW is also the brand with the most models here — 9 of 55 — ahead of Yamaha with 8, Ducati with 7 and Kawasaki with 6; in all, 20 brands are represented.
Build year and price
For 38 models the build year is stated, from 2009 (Kawasaki KLX 250) to 2026, and 14 of them are 2026 bikes. The year matters more than it seems. The 2016 BMW R 1200 GS starts at €99, while the 2026 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure starts at €120; the 2010 Suzuki GSX-R 600 costs €40, against €80 for the 2026 Yamaha R9. If the year is not on the card, ask for it with the quote.
Engine size and what each step costs
Engine displacement is the clearest single predictor of price in this section. Grouped by engine size, the median day rate rises from €30 to €102:
| Engine | Models | Day rate range | Median |
|---|---|---|---|
| 125 cc | 7 | €30–58 | €30 |
| 250–450 cc | 5 | €30–85 | €45 |
| 500–700 cc | 17 | €39–100 | €60 |
| 800–950 cc | 16 | €47–90 | €62 |
| 1,000 cc and over | 10 | €60–120 | €102 |
125 cc: the entry step
Seven models are 125 cc. Five of them start at €30 — the naked MT-125, Z 125, Roadwin 125 FI and Orcal Sirio, and the retro-styled XSR 125. Two cost more: the Yamaha WR 125 R, an enduro, from €48, and the Brixton Crossfire 125, a neo-classic, from €58. A 125 cc bike matters for licensing too, as the licence section below explains: it is the size that some rental terms open to holders of a car licence.
The middle: 500 to 950 cc
Thirty-three of the 55 models sit between 500 and 950 cc, and the medians of the two groups are almost the same — €60 and €62. Inside that band, class and age move the price more than the extra cubic centimetres. A 900 cc Voge 900 DSX starts at €50, while a 900 cc BMW F 900 GS Adventure starts at €90; a 650 cc Honda CB 650 R costs €42, while the 650 cc Moto Morini X-Cape 650 costs €95.
Over 1,000 cc
Ten models are 1,000 cc or larger, with a median of €102. The cheapest of them is the Moto Guzzi Stelvio at €60, followed by the KTM 1290 Super Duke R ABS at €75 and the Harley-Davidson Sportster XL 1200 X Forty at €76. The rest are large touring and sports bikes from €95 to €120.
Naked, trail, sport and neo-classic bikes
Class tells you more about a bike's use than its engine size does. The four largest groups here are trail and adventure bikes, naked bikes, neo-classics and sports bikes.
Trail and adventure tourers
Trail bikes are the largest group: 12 models in the trail subclass alone, from the 500 cc Macbor Montana XR5 at €39 to the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure at €120, with a median of €57.5. Add the Ducati DesertX (€70), Ducati Multistrada V2 (€74), Moto Guzzi Stelvio (€60), CFMOTO 450MT (€85), BMW R 1300 GS (€110), Moto Morini X-Cape 650 (€95) and the two A2 versions, and touring-capable bikes make up about a third of the 55 models. They carry two people with an upright riding position, which suits longer days out of the city.
Naked bikes
Eight full-power naked bikes start between €42 (Honda CB 650 R) and €75 (KTM 1290 Super Duke R ABS), with a median of €50. Most of them — the Kawasaki Z 900 ABS, Aprilia Tuono 660, Ducati Monster 937, Husqvarna Svartpilen 701 ABS — start between €47 and €55. There are also two A2 naked bikes at €47 and four 125 cc naked bikes at €30, which makes the naked class the widest spread for licence holders of every level.
Sports bikes
Six sports bikes run from €40 to €120, with a median of €90: the Suzuki GSX-R 600 (€40), Yamaha R9 (€80), Ducati Panigale V2 (€75), CFMOTO 675SR-R (€100), BMW S 1000 RR (€110) and Ducati Panigale V4 AM73 Edition (€120). The BMW S 1000 XR at €105 is a sports tourer — a sports engine in a bike built for distance.
Neo-classics, scramblers and a cruiser
Nine retro-styled models start between €30 and €95. The scramblers — the Triumph Street Scrambler 900 ABS (€55), Brixton Crossfire 500 XC (€75) and Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle (€80) — are a separate choice from the road-going neo-classics such as the Brixton Crossfire 500 (€70), Moto Morini Seiemmezzo STR (€75) and Brixton Cromwell 1200 (€95). The only cruiser is the Harley-Davidson Sportster XL 1200 X Forty, a 2011 bike from €76. For riding off asphalt, there are two light off-road bikes — the Kawasaki KLX 250 (€45) and Honda CRF 250 Rally (€55).
Licence, age, documents and deposit
Licence and deposit are the two conditions that decide which bike you can actually take, so check them before the price.
Which licence for which bike
- Over 125 cc: a category A motorcycle licence, a minimum age of 21 and at least two years of holding the licence are the usual terms.
- A2-restricted bikes: five models come in an A2 version for riders with an A2 licence — the Yamaha MT-07 A2 ABS (€47), Kawasaki Z 900 E A2 ABS (€47), Voge 900 DSX 35 kW (€50), Yamaha Tracer 7 GT A2 (€60) and Yamaha Ténéré 700 A2 (€65).
- 125 cc: licences A, A2 and A1 are accepted, and some rental terms also accept a category B car licence held for several years; ask for the exact minimum with the quote.
The A2 versions are not always cheaper than the full-power bikes. The Ténéré 700 A2 starts at €65 against €75 for the full Ténéré 700, while the Voge 900 DSX costs €50 in both versions.
Documents to bring
For bikes over 125 cc, the usual set is a valid passport, a valid driving licence and a credit card. The credit card covers the deposit, so if you plan to use a debit card, ask before you arrive whether it is accepted.
The deposit
For six models the security deposit is stated, and it rises with the bike:
- €300: Brixton Crossfire 125.
- €500: Brixton Crossfire 500 XC and Moto Morini Seiemmezzo STR.
- €900: CFMOTO 675SR-R, Moto Morini X-Cape 650 and Brixton Cromwell 1200.
A deposit of €300–900 depending on the model is the range to plan for. On a short rental the deposit can be larger than the rental itself: one day on the CFMOTO 675SR-R costs €100, while €900 is held on the card. Check that your card limit covers both.
Pick-up areas and comparing two quotes
Where the bike stands affects the trip as much as the price: a bike on the seafront is a different start from one in a town outside the ring road.
Where the bikes are picked up
For 34 models the pick-up area is stated. Half of them — 17 — are based in the Poblats Marítims district, around Cabanyal and Malvarrosa near the beach. The rest are spread across the city and nearby towns:
| Area | Models |
|---|---|
| Poblats Marítims (Cabanyal, Malvarrosa) | 17 |
| Burjassot | 3 |
| Botànic and El Pilar | 2 |
| Ciutat Vella | 2 |
| Mislata | 2 |
| Albors, Benimaclet, Campanar, City of Arts and Sciences, San Marcelino | 1 each |
| Foios, Torrent, Vinalesa | 1 each |
Burjassot, Mislata, Torrent, Foios and Vinalesa are separate towns around the city, so a bike there means a trip out to collect it. When you request a quote, ask where the bike will be handed over and whether that point is fixed.
One model, two prices
The same model can start at different prices depending on where it is rented. The Kawasaki Z 900 ABS starts at €47 in one place and €50 in another; the Ducati Streetfighter V2 at €69 and €75; the Macbor Montana XR5 at €39 and €45. The card shows the lower figure. Behind such a gap there can be a different year, a different pick-up area or a different set of conditions, so compare like with like.
What to put in a request
- Dates: give the exact pick-up and return days, so the quote is a total, not a daily rate.
- Licence: state your licence category and how long you have held it — A, A2, A1 or B decides which bikes are open to you.
- Model: name the bike from the cards on this page and ask whether the quote is for that model or a similar one.
- Pick-up point: ask where the bike is handed over and returned.
- Deposit: ask the deposit amount and how it is held, so the card limit is not a surprise.
Rent-Trip compares offers rather than running its own garage, so the clearer the request, the closer two quotes will be to each other.
Key points before you choose a bike
Six figures to keep in mind
- Day rate: 55 models start between €30 and €120, with the median at €60.
- Engine step: the median rises from €30 for 125 cc to about €60 for 500–950 cc and €102 for 1,000 cc and over.
- Long rentals: where a monthly price is stated, it equals about 8 to 11 days at the daily rate.
- Licence: over 125 cc means category A, age 21 and two years of holding; five models come in A2 versions.
- Deposit: €300 to €900 depending on the model, held on a credit card.
- Pick-up: half of the bikes with a stated area are based near the beach in Poblats Marítims.
Matching the bike to the ride
For short city trips and a car licence, start with the 125 cc bikes from €30. For two people and long days on the road, the trail and adventure bikes give the widest choice, from €39 to €120. For an A2 licence, the five restricted models from €47 to €65 are the shortlist. For a stay of more than 11 days, ask about a monthly rate before booking day by day.
