What the price includes and what the deposit is
The car comes with a full tank; the deposit, the excess and any delivery fee are set out in the rental agreement. Fuel works on a full-to-full basis: we hand the Opel over with a full tank and you return it full, otherwise the missing fuel and a refuelling service fee are charged as set out in the rental agreement.

Where we can hand over the car
- Valencia Airport (VLC): the car can be handed over at the terminal, which sits in Manises, 12.6 km by road from Plaça de l'Ajuntament and about 26 minutes without traffic.
- València-Joaquín Sorolla: the high-speed station is another hand-over point if you are arriving by train rather than by plane.
- Outside the city: delivery beyond the Valencia area is arranged case by case and is not promised on the site.
How the hand-over is arranged
The sequence is short. You pick the model — Corsa, Astra or Combo — tell the manager where and when you want it, and the two of you settle the address, the date and the time. Only then is the booking fixed. The agreement itself, including the deposit and the excess, is set out in the rental agreement, so ask the manager for those figures while the booking is still being arranged rather than on the day.
Second, take a photograph of the fuel gauge and the bodywork at the moment the car changes hands; the Spanish consumer authority expects every scratch and dent to be written into the contract or the inspection sheet before you drive away, signed by both sides, with a copy left with you. Without that record, damage found later can be pinned on the driver.

The ZBE València boundary and who is stopped
ZBE València (Zona de Bajas Emisiones) covers 27.8 km² inside Ronda Nord, avenidas de Tarongers and Serradora, and Bulevard Sud. The staged rollout began 01.12.2025 and runs to 2028: until 31.12.2026 only badge-less cars registered outside the province of Valencia are caught; from 01.01.2027 the same applies to those registered outside the city; from 01.01.2028 every category A car is included, residents among them. Category A means petrol registered before 2001 and diesel before 2006.
Parking in the blue and orange zones
- Zona azul centro y ensanches: Ciutat Vella, L'Eixample and Extramurs; €1.00 for 60 minutes, €1.70 for 120, two hours maximum.
- Zona azul resto ciudad: the rest of the city at €0.80 per hour, €1.50 for two hours.
- Hours: zona azul runs Monday to Saturday 09:00–14:00 and 16:00–20:00; zona naranja rotation hours in Ruzafa and El Botànic are 09:00–19:00 on weekdays.
Motorways allow 120 km/h, ordinary out-of-town roads 90 km/h, and city streets drop to 30 km/h on a single lane each way and 20 km/h where the pavement and roadway share one level. V-21 and V-30 carry fixed radars, so the limit is worth watching rather than testing.

The AP-7 between Tarragona and Alicante has been toll-free since 01.01.2020, when the Aumar concession ended and 373.8 km opened up. Check the tank before an early start.

Tolls, parking and the costs people forget
- AP-7: the Salou–Alicante stretch of the Autopista del Mediterráneo has been toll-free since 01.01.2020, when the Aumar concession ended — 373.8 km released, so Dénia, Calp, Benidorm and Peñíscola are reachable from the city without a péage.
- Zona azul in the centre: Ciutat Vella, L'Eixample and Extramurs cap you at 2 hours — €0.55 up to 25 minutes, €1.00 for 60 minutes, €1.70 for 120, metered in 5-minute steps.
- Zona azul outside the centre: the same 2-hour cap for €0.30, €0.80 and €1.50 at the same intervals.
- Zona naranja: for non-residents during rotation hours only — €1.10, €2.10 and €3.30 for the same three brackets; hours vary by district, with Ciutat Vella running Monday–Friday 09:00–20:00 and Ruzafa, El Botànic and La Roqueta 09:00–19:00, Saturdays 09:00–15:00 everywhere.

- Licence: a full EU or EEA licence, including Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, is valid in Spain until its expiry date, with nothing added.
- Third-country licences: valid for driving as a visitor while in force; after six months from taking up residence in Spain they must be exchanged.
- Non-Latin script: a licence in Cyrillic, Arabic or characters is accepted with an official Spanish translation, or if it follows Annex 9 of the Geneva Convention or Annex 6 of the Vienna Convention.
- International Driving Permit: an additional document, shown only together with the passport and the national licence; it runs for one year.
Booking, deposit and the agreement
The delivery address, the date and the time are agreed with a manager before the booking is fixed — that is how a booking with us is closed. We do not publish our own minimum age, young-driver surcharge, accepted cards or a territory limit: those are agreed when booking, because they are the hire company's terms and not a rule of Spain. Two things the law does fix. Under Spanish consumer rules, the announced price must include every mandatory charge you cannot drive without — compulsory third-party cover among them. And the inspection at hand-over is written into the contract or a condition report before you drive off, signed by both sides, with a copy kept by the renter; without it, damage is charged to the renter.
If the booked car is not what you get
- Different model: you may ask for another car at no extra cost, even a class above.
- Lower class: the price must come down to match what was supplied.

The ZBE València covers 27.8 km² inside Ronda Nord, the avenidas de Tarongers and Serradora and Bulevard Sud, and cars carrying a DGT sticker (B, C, ECO or 0) fall outside its restrictions — only category A vehicles are affected. And on the return leg, the V-21 (acceso a Valencia) and V-30 (vía rápida urbana) carry fixed speed cameras, so the last twenty minutes of a long drive are the ones to watch.
