The daily rate is only the first number in the quote. How long you keep the car changes the arithmetic, and the model you pick sets the starting figure.
Daily, weekly and monthly rates explained
Weekly bookings start at ฿6,600 and monthly at ฿23,100, because weekly is the daily rate times 6 and monthly is the daily rate times 21. Those two multipliers are fixed across the whole crossover class, so a longer booking lowers the cost per day without any separate discount code. Take the cheapest car on the page, the Mazda CX-30 at ฿1,100 per day: six days of daily billing would come to ฿6,600, and twenty-one days to ฿23,100. The same multipliers hold at the top of the range — the Haval Jolion and the Subaru XV, both at ฿2,500 per day, come to ฿15,000 for a week and ฿52,500 for a month. Every car in this class seats five and comes with an automatic transmission, so the arithmetic is the same whether you pick a petrol model or a hybrid. What we need from you before the car is released
- Model or class: name one of the 12 crossovers on this page, or simply ask for a 5-seat automatic and we will match the closest car available for your dates.
- Dates and times: a crossover can be booked from 1 day, and weekly or monthly periods are priced at the daily rate times 6 and times 21.
- Driver details: the main driver's passport, home driving licence and, unless you hold an ASEAN licence, an International Driving Permit.
- Security hold: a bank card in the main driver's name; the amount is set out in the rental agreement.
Where the car is handed over
We deliver to any address in Bangkok and to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang Airport (DMK). If your hotel is on Sukhumvit, in Silom or Sathorn, or somewhere around Siam and Pathum Wan, that is an ordinary delivery — the car arrives clean with a full tank, and you drive it away on the same booking. The city is the one place on this page where delivery is a standard part of the service rather than a special arrangement, so the hand-over is agreed when booking. Deliveries elsewhere are arranged case by case and are not promised on the site, so ask the manager if your address falls outside what we normally cover.
What happens on longer bookings
A one-day booking and a three-week booking differ only in the multiplier, not in the paperwork. Weekly starts at ฿6,600 and monthly at ฿23,100 against a daily range of ฿1,100 to ฿2,500, and the rate you pay per day drops as the booking lengthens. Fix the model first and the dates second. If your plans may shift, say so when you book — the delivery address and time are agreed with a manager, and that is also where any change is settled.
Documents and driving rules for crossovers car rental in Bangkok
Thailand drives on the left and every car in our fleet is right-hand drive, so the first thing to sort out is paperwork, not the route. A foreign visitor needs a home driving licence plus an International Driving Permit issued under the 1949 Geneva Convention, as required by section 42 bis of the Motor Vehicle Act. Drivers from ASEAN countries may use their national licence instead. The police fine for driving without the permit runs ฿500–1,000, and an insurer may refuse a claim after an incident.

Traffic-camera fines are issued to the car owner — that is, to the rental company — and re-invoiced to the renter, so a camera flash on Motorway 7 reaches you after the trip rather than at the roadside. Since 30 December 2025 a car rental agreement is a contract controlled by the OCPB: it is written in Thai, and all fees and penalties are disclosed in it.
Insurance, deposit and what the rental agreement covers
Every car on this page is registered in Thailand, so the cover that travels with it is Thai cover: compulsory Por Ror Bor for injury to third parties, plus first-class (Class 1) insurance for damage to the vehicle itself. The terms of that Class 1 policy, and the excess you carry if the car comes back damaged, sit inside the paperwork you sign — we do not quote them here.
What the two layers of cover actually do
- Por Ror Bor: compulsory motor insurance attached to every registered car in Thailand; it pays for injury to third parties, not for the vehicle.
- Class 1 insurance: covers damage to the rented car; what exactly it covers and the excess are set out in the rental agreement.
- OCPB-controlled contract: since 30 December 2025 a car rental agreement in Thailand is a contract controlled by the OCPB, written in Thai, with all fees and penalties disclosed inside it.
Because the agreement is written in Thai and every fee sits inside it, the terms of the policy and the excess are set out in the rental agreement, and any fee that applies is set out in the rental agreement as well.
The security hold
A bank card in the main driver's name is used for the security hold, and the terms of that hold are set out in the rental agreement. Minimum driver age is 21, and the conditions for drivers under 25 and for premium classes are also set out in the agreement.
Documents the agreement rests on
- Passport: the main driver's passport, presented for the agreement.
- Home driving licence: your national licence, valid and not expired.
- International Driving Permit: required alongside the home licence under the 1949 Geneva Convention; ASEAN citizens may drive on their national licence instead.
Driving without an International Driving Permit carries a police fine of ฿500–1,000, and an insurer may refuse a claim — which is the difference between a cover that works and a cover that exists only on paper.
Day trips and longer routes in a rented crossover
A crossover earns its keep once you leave the city limits. Motorway 7 runs from Bangkok towards Chonburi and Pattaya — 149.3 km of divided highway with a 120 km/h limit, and the Pattaya exit sits at the 125.865 km mark. From the Lat Krabang entry a passenger car pays ฿25 to Bang Bo, ฿100 to Pong and ฿105 all the way to Pattaya.
Hua Hin: the southern run, 191.2 km by road, about 143 minutes without traffic.
Ayutthaya: the shortest of the historic day trips, easily done in a single day in any of the 12 cars.
And the Low Emission Zone now covering all 50 districts applies to vehicles with six wheels or more, so nothing on this page is caught by it.
