If you are deciding between the two ฿2,400 options, the MU-X has a larger 3.0 L engine versus the Everest's 2.0 L, which makes it slightly more relaxed on long highway stretches to Surat Thani. Tips for driving a hired 4x4 on Phuket roads

Traffic here keeps to the left, and every car in our fleet — including the 4x4 pickups and SUVs — is right-hand drive. If you normally drive on the right, take the first hour gently: the gear lever and indicators sit on the opposite side, and roundabouts flow clockwise.
