This Cookie Policy explains how Rent-Trip uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It applies to every visitor and every rental made with us, wherever you book. We work in six countries whose data-protection rules differ, so every clause below names the country wherever the rule differs.

What is a Cookie

Cookies are small text files that your browser saves to your device when you visit our website. We use them to keep the site working, to remember the choices you make and to understand how visitors use the pages.

  • Thailand: Non-essential cookies are set only after you give your explicit consent through our cookie banner, which offers equal accept and reject options. You can change your preferences at any time in your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
  • the USA (Florida): Our website uses cookies and Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to prevent data collection.
  • the UAE: We process personal data on your consent where required, and by renting a vehicle you consent to the processing described in our privacy policy. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, but this may affect our ability to provide services.
  • Turkey: Your explicit consent is required for the use of cookies other than mandatory ones, in accordance with the KVKK. A cookie notice is shown on your first visit, and you can withdraw your consent at any time through your browser settings or our cookie preference management panel.

Cookie Categories We Use

We group the cookies our website sets into four categories: required, functional, analytical and marketing. Required cookies are the only category set without your consent; the other three wait for it.

  • Thailand: We set all four categories, and non-essential cookies are placed only after you give your explicit consent through the cookie banner, as required by the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (PDPA).
  • the USA (Florida): We use cookies and Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, and you can disable cookies in your browser settings or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • the UAE: We rely on your consent where required, alongside the performance of our contract with you, our legal obligations and our legitimate interests under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL).
  • Turkey: We set the same four categories, and your explicit consent is required for the use of cookies other than mandatory ones under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK); you can allow all cookies or approve only certain categories.

Explicit Consent and Management

Lifespan of Cookies

How long a cookie stays on your device depends on its category, not on the country where you collect the car: session cookies disappear when you close the browser, persistent ones live for a set period and are then deleted or renewed automatically.

  • Thailand: session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed, persistent cookies are stored for up to 12 months, functional cookies are usually kept between 6 and 12 months, and analytical and marketing cookies for a maximum of 24 months.

Managing Cookies Through Browser Settings

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse cookies, set rules for specific sites, or delete stored cookies; the exact steps sit in the browser's Help menu. Disabling cookies may stop parts of our website from working properly, because required cookies keep the site running.

  • Thailand: The same browser controls apply; required cookies stay essential to the site's basic functions, and non-essential cookies are set only after your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
  • the USA (Florida): Browser settings and the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on both stop analytics collection; no separate state rule changes how browser controls work.
  • the UAE: The same browser controls apply, and the conditions of the country where you collect the car are set out in the rental agreement you sign.
  • Turkey: Under the KVKK, browser settings or our cookie preference management panel both withdraw consent, and withdrawal does not affect the validity of consent given before it.

Applicable Law

We are a single company, but the rules on cookies and privacy that protect you are national: each country has its own statute, its own regulator and its own remedies. Where you hand over the car, that country's law governs your data.

  • Thailand: the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (PDPA) applies, and a complaint goes to the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC).
  • the USA (Florida): Florida law applies, including the Florida Information Protection Act (FS 501.171); California residents may exercise the rights the CCPA/CPRA gives them.
  • the UAE: Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) applies, with complaints to the UAE Data Protection Office.
  • Turkey: Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) applies, and complaints go to the Personal Data Protection Board.
