If you were planning to drive yourself, a foreign visitor needs a home driving licence plus an International Driving Permit, issued under the 1949 Geneva Convention, with a police fine of ฿500–1,000 for driving without one.

Premium runs from the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz C 220 d at ฿3,500 through to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series at ฿8,200. Luxury is three cars only — Porsche Panamera at ฿16,000, Porsche Cayenne at ฿24,900 and Bentley Bentayga at ฿35,000. If your group is 11 or 12 strong, only Minivans will take you in one car; book that class first and settle the model afterwards.

• Four seats: Mini Cooper S and BMW 430i — a couple or two colleagues travelling light, from ฿4,100 a day.
• Five seats: the whole Premium sedan and SUV range, plus the Porsche Cayenne and Bentley Bentayga — from ฿3,500.

Diesel, hybrid or petrol

Diesel covers most of the vans and the Toyota Innova Crysta, the Mercedes-Benz C 220 d and the BMW 3 Series — the C 220 d makes 200 hp from a 2.0 L unit at ฿3,500 a day. Hybrid appears on the Mercedes-Benz C 350 e (313 hp), the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the BMW 7 Series and the Porsche Cayenne. Petrol fills the rest, from the Toyota Veloz to the Bentley Bentayga.

Long trips and the class that pays off

A day rate is not the whole story once you leave the city. The Toyota Commuter at ฿2,150 carries 12 people on diesel, while the Premium sedans seat five — per passenger, the van wins by a wide margin on any full-day route. For two people on a short city day, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe at ฿3,800 or the BMW X1 at ฿3,800 give Premium comfort without the Luxury step.

The daily figure already carries VAT 7%, and hire is available from 1 day, so a single airport run and a two-week stay are priced on the same basis.

Daily, weekly and monthly rates

Weekly booking starts at ฿7,800 and monthly at ฿27,300. Those are not percentages or promotional cuts — the arithmetic is fixed: weekly equals the daily rate multiplied by 6, monthly equals the daily rate multiplied by 21. Take the Toyota Commuter at ฿2,150 a day: a week of it comes to ฿12,900, a month to ฿45,150. The multiplier is the same at the top of the range, so a Bentley Bentayga at ฿35,000 a day works out at ฿210,000 for the week. We quote the multiplier openly rather than hiding it in a discount scheme.

What sits outside the quoted price

• Delivery fee: a fee, if any, is agreed when booking — the address, date and time are confirmed with a manager first.
• Security hold: a bank card in the main driver's name is used for the hold; the amount is set out in the rental agreement.
• Insurance excess: the terms and the excess are set out in the rental agreement.

Delivery to any address in the city

We deliver the car to any address in Bangkok, and to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang Airport (DMK). You tell the manager where you are staying and when you land or wake up; the manager confirms the slot and only then is the booking fixed. Nothing is promised before that confirmation, which is deliberate: a van that arrives at the wrong terminal at the wrong hour is worse than no van at all. For a private address off the main roads, send a pin, not a street name.

Arriving at Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang

• Don Mueang (DMK): 20.5 km direct, 27.4 km by road, 40 minutes in clear conditions; Terminal 1 takes international flights, Terminal 2 domestic.
• Late arrivals: the time is confirmed with a manager, so an evening landing is a conversation, not a gamble.
• Out-of-town pickups: delivery elsewhere is arranged case by case and is not promised on the site.

What follows is what Thai law requires, what insurance sits on the car, and what is settled when you book.

What a foreign visitor needs to carry

• Home driving licence: your national licence, valid and current, is the base document — without it an International Driving Permit alone means nothing.
• International Driving Permit: the 1949 Geneva Convention permit, required alongside the national licence under section 42 bis of the Motor Vehicle Act.
• ASEAN nationals: citizens of ASEAN countries drive on their national licence, with no permit needed.
• Passport and bank card: the passport and a bank card in the main driver's name complete the set.

Insurance that comes with the car

Every registered car in Thailand carries compulsory motor insurance, known as Por Ror Bor, which covers injury to third parties. First-class insurance, or Class 1, covers damage to the car itself; its terms and the excess are set out in the agreement. That distinction matters more than it looks. Por Ror Bor protects the people you might hit, not the vehicle you are sitting in, so a scrape against a pillar or a kerb is a Class 1 question, not a Por Ror Bor one. Since 30 December 2025 a car rental agreement is a contract controlled by the OCPB: it is written in Thai, and all fees and penalties are disclosed in it.

Age, deposit and the hold on your card

Minimum driver age is 21. Conditions for drivers under 25 and for premium classes are set out in the agreement, and so is the amount of the security hold, which is taken on a bank card in the main driver's name. Day trips that fit inside one booking

• Pattaya: Motorway 7 covers 149.3 km to Map Ta Phut, with 125.865 km of it reaching Pattaya; a car pays ฿25 from Lat Krabang to Bang Bo and ฿105 through to Pattaya.

• Motorway 9: the outer ring uses M-Flow, where a camera reads the plate and the bill follows; without registration it must be paid within 2 days, after which the tariff doubles.
