Daily Cost in Weekly and Monthly Packages

The weekly package is calculated as 31,200 TL and the monthly package as 109,200 TL; in both options, the daily cost remains at 5,200 TL. In long-term rentals, as the number of days increases, the total payment naturally rises, but weekly and monthly plans are more advantageous than single-day rentals because the days not paid for (1 day in the weekly plan, 9 days in the monthly plan) are excluded. Those coming to the city for business or vacation for more than a week can solve all vehicle logistics at once by opting for the monthly package. Passport and Entry Stamp

• Visa exemption: Citizens of countries with a visa exemption agreement with Turkey can stay visa-free for up to 90 days; this period must be longer than the rental duration.

Driver's License and International Driving Permit

• License written in the Latin alphabet: It is accepted as valid in Turkey; additionally, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is not required.
• License not written in the Latin alphabet: You need to get an IDP before renting; without an IDP, the car will not be delivered.
• Minimum driver age: For the Tesla Model 3, the driver is expected to be above a certain age and to have held a driver's license for at least a certain period; these conditions are set out in the rental agreement.

You obtain the IDP in your own country from the authority that issued your driver's license; IDPs are not issued in Turkey. Your passport's entry stamp into Turkey must be dated before the day you pick up the vehicle — if the stamp date is after the delivery date, the rental cannot be initiated.

Delivery to Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW)

Istanbul Airport (IST) is in Arnavutköy on the European side; Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) is in Pendik on the Asian side. Delivery is available to both airports: when you share your flight details, your car will be ready in the arrivals area after you land. The delivery agent will be waiting for you at the terminal exit with a sign bearing your name. If your flight is delayed, delivery is rescheduled to your new arrival time. After receiving the car, check with the agent that the HGS device is active and ready for bridge crossings.

European and Asian sides

Delivery is made to both sides of the city. On the European side, central districts such as Şişli, Beşiktaş, Beyoğlu, Fatih, Bakırköy, Levent, and Maslak; on the Asian side, Kadıköy, Üsküdar, Ataşehir, Maltepe, and Ümraniye are among the delivery areas. The vehicle is brought by crossing from one side to the other via the Eurasia Tunnel or the bridges; the HGS fees for these crossings are included in the rental process and specified in the contract. Current tolls are 110 TL for the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, 280 TL during the day and 140 TL at night for the Eurasia Tunnel. For exits towards Bursa via the Osmangazi Bridge, there is a crossing fee of 1,170 TL. Apart from weekend routes like Şile or Sapanca, you typically make one or two HGS crossings in daily city use. Considering that there is no free crossing point between the two shores of the Bosphorus helps you plan your budget correctly.

Crossing between two continents

When crossing from the European side to the Asian side with a Tesla Model 3, you can choose the 15 July Martyrs' Bridge or the Eurasia Tunnel; the tunnel is a time-saving alternative during peak traffic hours. To reach Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW), you need to cross to the Asian side, and this crossing incurs an HGS fee. Out-of-town routes

• Sapanca: A route from Istanbul taking approximately 2 hours can be covered on a single battery without a charging stop; on the return, you can refresh the battery with fast charging in Sapanca or İzmit.
• Şile and Ağva: A distance of about 1.5 hours is ideal for a weekend getaway; AC charging points are available in Şile center and coastal towns.
• Bursa and Uludağ: Via the Osmangazi Bridge ~2.5 hours; in Bursa, there is adequate DC charging infrastructure in the city center and at malls.
• Cappadocia: A long journey of about 8 hours requires planned charging breaks in Ankara or Aksaray; we recommend planning your range in advance on this route.

On routes outside the city, range varies depending on driving style and air conditioning usage; in winter, heating increases battery consumption, so it is safe to plan charging breaks every 150-200 km on long distances.

Weekend Getaway — Şile and Sapanca Route

Sapanca, about 2 hours from Istanbul, is one of the most popular weekend getaway destinations; this route can be covered on a single battery charge without issues. On the way back, you can charge your battery to 80% using fast charging units in Sapanca center or İzmit. Hotels around the lake typically have standard outlets for overnight charging; however, we recommend confirming the charging facility at the time of booking. In winter, cold weather can reduce range by 10-15%; therefore, planning a charging stop on the return from Sapanca is a safe habit. On weekends, traffic congestion when leaving Istanbul can cause delays of 15-20 minutes; leaving early in the morning helps you avoid both traffic and charging queues.
