Documents, licence and age for Jeep car rental in Koh Samui

Which documents you need for Jeep car rental
- International Driving Permit: a foreign visitor needs the home licence plus an IDP issued under the 1949 Geneva Convention, as required by section 42 bis of the Motor Vehicle Act.

- ASEAN nationals: citizens of ASEAN countries may drive on their national licence without an IDP.

Traffic-camera fines are issued to the car owner and re-invoiced to the renter.

The ring road is 51 km of two-lane tarmac with one lane each way and no central divider, which links Nathon, Lipa Noi, Lamai, Chaweng, Bophut and Maenam. Treat the first lap as a scouting run.
October to December: the wet months
