For crews arriving by plane, we offer pickup from both airports: Istanbul Airport (IST, Arnavutköy) on the European side and Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW, Pendik) on the Asian side. When you share your flight details during booking, you'll find the vehicle ready in the airport parking lot according to your arrival time. Heading directly to the filming location without going to the city center saves time, especially for crews wanting to capture the sunrise light. A passport is required instead of an ID card because the rental agreement is only issued with a passport. Additionally, a credit card issued in the main driver's name is required - the security deposit is taken from this card; cash or someone else's card is not accepted. Age and license experience requirements vary by vehicle class: for economy class, 21 years old and 1 year of license are sufficient, while for sedan and SUV classes this threshold is higher. If there are multiple drivers in the rental party, each driver's documents must be recorded in the contract; anyone not named in the contract driving the vehicle will void the insurance. If your passport lacks an entry stamp or your visa has expired, the vehicle will not be delivered - we recommend checking this before making a reservation.

Contract terms and security deposit

The rental agreement is signed at the time of delivery and covers the following items: rental period, daily rate, delivery and return location, responsibility for HGS toll fees, and the condition of the vehicle at the time of delivery. Compulsory traffic insurance is legally valid for all vehicles and is automatically included in the contract; any additional coverage beyond that is set out in the contract. The security deposit is blocked on the main driver's credit card, and the amount varies according to the vehicle class – this amount and the refund conditions are set out in the contract. Any existing scratches and dents are recorded in a report when you pick up the vehicle; if you plan to place decorations or equipment in the car during shooting, you must notify this at the time of delivery. Upon return, the vehicle must be brought back with the same fuel level and clean as it was delivered. If the shooting duration is extended, the additional time fee is calculated at the daily rate and this is also set out in the contract. We recommend that you read all clauses before signing the contract – especially the return time and additional kilometer conditions, because these two items are the most common source of disputes on the day of shooting.

Practical information for the shooting day

On the shooting day, to avoid delays in traffic and bridge crossings, it is necessary to clarify HGS, fuel, and insurance rules in advance. All Rent-Trip vehicles are covered by compulsory traffic insurance; additional guarantee conditions are set out in the rental agreement.

HGS: Bridge and Tunnel Crossings

Tolls for the Bosphorus bridges, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, and the Eurasia Tunnel are charged via the HGS system. The toll for the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge is 110 TL, for the Eurasia Tunnel it is 280 TL during the day and 140 TL at night; the Osmangazi Bridge, at 1,170 TL, comes into play when heading towards Bursa and Uludağ. Unpaid tolls are considered "violation passes" and if not paid on time, the fee is quadrupled.
