Porsche Panamera and CLS 53 AMG
The Porsche Panamera is the entry point into luxury car hire at ฿16,000 a day: 4 seats, petrol, 330 hp and rear-wheel drive. The Mercedes-Benz CLS 53 AMG costs ฿22,500 a day and is the only coupe in the fleet, the only all-wheel-drive 4-seater under ฿25,000, and the only car here with a 3.0 L engine paired to a coupe body.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the flagship at ฿150,000 a day, with a 6.75 L engine, 4 seats and all-wheel drive. The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 at ฿60,000 a day is the top Mercedes in the fleet: 4 seats, petrol, all-wheel drive, 4.0 L.
The step from the Maybach to the Cullinan is the largest price jump on this page — more than double. Both are 4-seaters, so neither is the right pick for a group of five.

VAT 7% is included in the prices shown, so the number on the card is the number in the table. The largest single step is between the Maybach GLS 600 at ฿60,000 and the Cullinan at ฿150,000 — more than double, and the biggest jump on the page.
Weekly and monthly rates
A weekly rate equals the daily rate × 6, which puts a week in the Porsche Panamera at ฿96,000, and a monthly rate equals the daily rate × 21, which puts a month in the same car at ฿336,000. Both multipliers are fixed, so the arithmetic is the same for every model in the fleet: take the daily figure from the table, multiply by six or by twenty-one, and you have the longer-booking rate. Every car in the table is automatic, and the fleet runs from a four-seat sedan to a four-seat SUV, so the same rule covers the whole range.
The practical consequence is simple: a week costs six daily rates and a month twenty-one, so it is worth pricing the whole trip as one booking rather than splitting it into separate short hires.
What the price includes, and what is agreed when booking
Prices include VAT 7%. Since 30 December 2025 a car rental agreement in Thailand is a contract controlled by the OCPB: it is written in Thai, and all fees and penalties are disclosed in it.
Delivery across Phuket and to Phuket International Airport is free; anywhere else in the country, the address, date and time are agreed with a manager, and a delivery fee, if any, is agreed when booking.
Documents and rules for luxury car rental in Thailand
Driving a luxury rental car here runs on three things: your paperwork, the left-hand side of the road, and an insurance policy you never want to test.
Documents you need at hand-over
- International Driving Permit: required for visitors from outside ASEAN, issued under the 1949 Geneva Convention; section 42 bis of the Motor Vehicle Act is what the police cite.
- ASEAN national licence: citizens of ASEAN countries drive on their own licence, with no permit and no conversion.
- Bank card: in the main driver's name, used for the security hold; the amount is set out in the rental agreement.
The fine for driving without a valid permit is ฿500–1,000, and an insurer may refuse a claim after an accident — the paperwork matters more than the roadside stop. Minimum driver age is 21; conditions for drivers under 25 and for premium classes are set out in the agreement.
The road itself
Speed limits are 80 km/h in built-up areas, 90 km/h outside them, 120 km/h on motorways; cameras on the motorways issue fines to the registered owner, which is us, and we re-invoice them to the renter. Children under six need a TISI child seat, and everyone in the car wears a seatbelt, including the back row.
Insurance and the agreement
Compulsory motor insurance, Por Ror Bor, covers injury to third parties and is attached to every registered car; first-class insurance covers damage to the car itself, and its terms and the excess are set out in the rental agreement. Insurance and the rental agreement
Every luxury car we rent in Thailand carries compulsory motor insurance, known as Por Ror Bor, which is attached to the registered vehicle and covers injury to third parties.
What the compulsory cover does and does not do
Por Ror Bor is the baseline policy attached to every registered car in the country, and it pays out for injury to third parties after an accident. It does not cover damage to the vehicle itself. That is what first-class, or Class 1, insurance is for, and its exact scope and the excess are set out in the rental agreement rather than quoted here. The distinction matters because a Por Ror Bor certificate is not evidence that the car you are driving is fully protected.
The rental agreement under Thai law
Since 30 December 2025 a car rental agreement in Thailand is a contract controlled by the OCPB, written in Thai, with all fees and penalties disclosed in it. Our own delivery to any address in Pattaya and to Koh Samui is arranged the same way for every booking: the delivery address, the date and the time are agreed with a manager before the booking is fixed.
Terms that are agreed, not published
- Security hold: a bank card in the main driver's name is used for the hold, and the amount is set out in the rental agreement.
- Insurance excess: set out in the rental agreement, never quoted in advance.
- Driver age: the minimum is 21, and conditions for drivers under 25 and for premium classes are set out in the agreement.
- Documents: passport, home driving licence, International Driving Permit unless you hold an ASEAN licence, and a bank card in the main driver's name.
Delivery and hand-over of your luxury rental car in Thailand
Every booking with Rent-Trip includes delivery of the car to the address you name — we do not ask you to collect the vehicle. The delivery address, the date and the time are agreed with a manager before the booking is fixed, and any delivery fee is agreed at the same moment. In practice this means the car arrives where you are staying: a hotel in Bangkok or an apartment in Pattaya, the two cities where our luxury cars stand. The hand-over itself is the point where the booking stops being a plan and becomes a car with a full tank standing outside.
- Bangkok: we deliver to any address in the city and to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang Airport (DMK).
- Pattaya: we deliver to any address in the city and to U-Tapao Airport (UTP), Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang Airport (DMK).
- Koh Samui: we deliver to any address on the island and to Samui International Airport (USM).
- Elsewhere in Thailand: delivery is arranged case by case and is not promised on the site — ask your manager.
What is agreed before the car reaches you
The address, the date and the time are not fixed by a form — they are confirmed with a manager, who also tells you whether a delivery fee applies. The same conversation covers the security hold: a bank card in the main driver's name is used for it, and the amount is set out in the rental agreement rather than quoted in advance. Rental is available from one day, so a single-day luxury car rental in Thailand is a normal booking, not an exception.
Fuel, condition and the first drive
The car arrives clean and with a full tank. Fuel type differs by model: the Porsche Cayenne is the only hybrid in the eight-car fleet, while the Panamera, the CLS 53 AMG, both Bentayga versions, the Maybach GLS 600 and the Cullinan run on petrol. Every car has automatic transmission and right-hand drive, because traffic in Thailand keeps to the left — worth remembering in the first five minutes behind the wheel. Delivery to mainland Thailand outside our four cities is not something we promise on the site, so if your route starts somewhere else, raise it when booking and we will tell you what is possible.
Driving a luxury rental car in Thailand
A luxury car here drives like nowhere else: traffic keeps to the left and every car is right-hand drive, so a 6.75 L Rolls-Royce Cullinan and a Porsche Panamera obey the same road rules as a city hatchback. Below are the conditions that actually matter once you leave the delivery address in Bangkok or Pattaya.
What you need to drive legally
- Home driving licence plus IDP: a foreign visitor needs a home driving licence and an International Driving Permit issued under the 1949 Geneva Convention, as required by section 42 bis of the Motor Vehicle Act.
- ASEAN citizens: drivers from ASEAN countries may drive on their national licence, without an International Driving Permit.
- The fine for driving without one: ฿500–1,000, and an insurer may refuse a claim — so the permit matters more than the fine.
- Documents carried in the car: passport, home driving licence, International Driving Permit unless you are an ASEAN citizen, and a bank card in the main driver's name for the security hold.
- Minimum age: 21; conditions for drivers under 25 and for premium classes are set out in the rental agreement.
Speed limits and cameras
On a motorway the ceiling is 120 km/h, on expressways 110 km/h, outside built-up areas 90 km/h, and in built-up areas — which includes Bangkok and Pattaya City — 80 km/h. A sign can lower any of these. Enforcement on Motorway 7 leans on speed cameras, and a camera fine is issued to the car owner, meaning Rent-Trip, and then re-invoiced to the renter, so the ticket follows you rather than the car.
Alcohol, children and parking
Children under six must travel in a child seat meeting the TISI standard, and anyone below 135 cm needs a seat or a proper belt — the fine reaches ฿2,000. Park away from red-and-white and yellow-and-white kerbs.

How the booking is fixed
The delivery address, the date and the time are agreed with a manager before the booking is fixed. That is also where a delivery fee, if there is one, is settled — the terms of the rental agreement cover the rest. Rental starts from one day, and the longer rates follow the same rule on every model: weekly = daily × 6, monthly = daily × 21. On the Cullinan that is ฿150,000 a day, ฿900,000 a week, ฿3,150,000 a month; on the Panamera, ฿16,000 a day, ฿96,000 a week, ฿336,000 a month.
With eight cars in the class, it is worth asking early rather than assuming the car will still be there.
Ask about the car first, then the dates. A model that is out on another booking cannot be moved, and a manager will tell you straight away which of the eight is free.
