In our monthly package, the daily rate is multiplied by twenty-one days; thus, for thirty days of use, you get a discount of nearly nine days. An economy-class car with a daily rate of 1,600 TL corresponds to 33,600 TL per month. For those staying in the city for a month or longer, coming for business projects or education, this package is the most economical option. In long-term rentals, vehicle maintenance and compulsory traffic insurance (compulsory traffic insurance) incur no extra cost since it legally covers every registered vehicle. In monthly rental, the daily price is also more advantageous than the weekly package; the rates are clearly set out in the rental agreement.

Which Duration Suits You?

• 3-7 days: The weekly package offers an advantage equal to one day's fee compared to daily rental; it is ideal for short vacations and business trips.
• 8-21 days: In this range, instead of using weekly packages consecutively, we recommend combining the rental period into a single contract; this reduces the total cost.
• 22 days and over: The monthly package kicks in; for a car with a daily rate of 1,600 TL, the monthly cost of 33,600 TL reduces the daily rate to 1,120 TL.

Car Delivery — From Kadıköy to SAW

Rent-Trip has no physical office—therefore all cars are delivered to the customer. Your car awaits you at a café in Kadıköy, in front of your workplace in Üsküdar, or at the exit of Sabiha Gökçen Airport. We deliver to the entire Asian side and to both airports; delivery terms are set out in the rental agreement at the start of the rental.

Delivery Points and Timing

• Kadıköy and Üsküdar: In busy centers, we bring the car to your desired address; you don't need to search for parking.
• Sabiha Gokcen (SAW): After landing at the airport in Pendik, you receive the vehicle at the terminal exit; extra time is granted in case of flight delays.
• Kurtkoy, Atasehir, Maltepe: For delivery to residential and business areas, simply notify us of the appointment time in advance.
• Outside the Asian side: We also deliver to the European side and Istanbul Airport (IST); crossing between the two continents is subject to an HGS fee.

When you receive the car, the contract and keys are handed over together, and the condition of the car is checked with you. The start time runs from the time written in the contract; if there is a delivery delay, the rental period is extended accordingly.

Practical Process at Airport Delivery

Upon arrival at Sabiha Gökçen, you exit the baggage claim area and meet our staff member who greets you. Passport, entry stamp, and driver's license checks are done at the time of delivery; a security block is created with a credit card issued in the main driver's name. The block amount and refund period are set out in the rental agreement. After taking delivery of the vehicle, check that the HGS device is active — you will be charged for bridge and motorway crossings through this device.

For most passengers arriving here, SAW is closer to hotels on the Asian side than Istanbul Airport on the European side. Required Documents for Drivers from Abroad

As a foreign driver, four basic documents are enough to rent a car on the Asian side: passport, entry stamp to Turkey, driver's license, and a credit card issued in the main driver's name. At Rent-Trip, the vehicle may not be driven by anyone other than the main driver named in the contract, so the documents must be in the name of the person who will sign the rental agreement.

Passport and Entry Stamp

Your passport must remain valid for at least 60 days beyond your intended stay in Turkey. The stamp you received upon entry into Turkey must be clearly visible in your passport; vehicle delivery cannot be made without a stamp. At Rent-Trip, during delivery, the photo page of your passport and the page with your entry stamp are checked, and then the rental agreement is signed.

Driver's License and International Driving Permit

• License issued in the Latin alphabet: It is valid in Turkey, no additional document is required.
• License not issued in the Latin alphabet: An International Driving Permit (IDP) is mandatory; the IDP is valid together with the local license.
• Minimum driver age: For Economy class cars, a minimum age of 21 and 1 year of driving experience are required; for Comfort and above, the threshold rises to 25 years and 3 years.
• Credit card: A credit card issued in the main driver's name and enabled for international payments is mandatory for the security hold.

If you are renting with a Turkish license, check that the classes on the back of your driver's license cover the class of vehicle you will rent; a Class B license is sufficient for all vehicles, including 9-seat minivans.

Contract and Security Block

The rental agreement is signed at delivery, and the details of the deposit amount, mileage limit and insurance coverage are set out in this contract. The security block creates a temporary reservation on your credit card, not a charge; when the vehicle is returned, the block is removed. HGS and Bridge Crossings — From the Asian Side to the European Side

When crossing from the Asian side to the European side, all three bridges and the Eurasia Tunnel work with HGS; there is no cash payment at the toll booth. With the HGS tag installed in your vehicle, the toll is deducted automatically; you do not need to do anything else. All Rent-Trip vehicles have an HGS tag, and the conditions of use of this system are set out in the rental agreement.

Bridge and Tunnel Tolls

Current rates may vary according to the HGS list in effect when you receive the vehicle. The night tariff is applied in the Eurasia Tunnel between 00.00–06.00.

Unauthorized Toll Passage and Payment Period

If the balance is insufficient or the tag cannot be read, your passage is counted as a violation. In this case, a penalty of four times the toll is applied; however, if the penalty is paid within a certain period after the passage, it is canceled and only the normal toll is collected. HGS debts incurred during the rental period are followed up according to the principles specified in the agreement.

• Bridge selection: Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge offers the shortest route for passages around Ümraniye and Çekmeköy.
• Tunnel advantage: The Eurasia Tunnel lets you get from Kadıköy to Fatih in 15 minutes; it is unaffected by Bosphorus traffic.
• Osmangazi Bridge: Used when heading to Bursa and Uludağ; it is the first section of the İzmir motorway.
• Balance check: Check your HGS balance before delivery; insufficient balance causes a violation pass.

Is It Possible to Rent a Car Without HGS

Every vehicle registered in Turkey is covered by compulsory traffic insurance, but the HGS tag is attached at the vehicle owner's preference. There is no vehicle without an HGS tag in the Rent-Trip fleet; every delivered vehicle has a tag attached. You can check together whether the tag works at delivery; if there is a problem, the vehicle is replaced the same day. Since HGS is mandatory on intercity journeys, it is not possible to cross the Osmangazi or Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge with a vehicle without a tag.
