• AP-7 Vila-seca — La Jonquera: the whole Barcelona — Girona — border corridor, and it has been toll-free since 01.09.2021, so the main run north costs nothing at the barrier.
• C-32 Maresme (Montgat — Palafolls): the usual approach to Blanes and Lloret de Mar; barriers came down in the night of 31 August to 1 September 2021.
• C-33 Barcelona — Montmeló: also free since 01.09.2021.
• C-16 (Cadí, Vallvidrera, Sant Cugat–Terrassa–Manresa) and C-32 south (Castelldefels–Sitges–El Vendrell): the only remaining Generalitat tolls, with the Vallcarca barrier at 8.42 € and Cubelles at 5.03 € for category 2 — neither sits on a coastal route.

The Girona ZBE and where it applies

The Zona de baixes emissions (ZBE) de Girona has been in force since 15.09.2025, covering the area from la Devesa park to c. d'Emili Grahit and from c. del Riu Güell to c. del Carme and Barri Vell. It runs 7–20 on Monday to Friday working days and restricts cars without a DGT environmental badge that are not registered in Girona; cameras read number plates, so there is no sticker to display. Twenty-four days a year are allowed inside during restricted hours without a permit, and foreign plates can get a temporary authorisation if the car meets the technical and environmental requirements. Spanish rental fleets carry the DGT badge, so a Portofino with one is not restricted.

Parking and the Cap de Creus access window

Parking in Girona is zona blava and zona verda at 1.20 €/h with a two-hour maximum (2.40 €), Monday to Saturday working hours, 9:30–13 and 16–20, though Sant Narcís runs on different hours. Lloret de Mar has 160 spaces at Can Lloranes at roughly 15 €/day from 23 June to 11 September and free outside that window, plus 200 free spaces at the Avinguda Alegries park-and-ride when you stay longer than 12 hours, with a free bus ticket into the centre between 15 June and 15 September. For the Cap de Creus road to the Far de Cap de Creus, access is controlled: 9:30–19:00 on 28–31 March and selected days in April and May, 9:30–21:30 on set June dates and daily from July to 13 September. Book the lighthouse run around that window rather than assuming the road is open.

• Barcelona-El Prat to Lloret de Mar: 89.6 km and 75 minutes without traffic, on the C-32, C-31 and B-10.
