Parking is the other daily cost to plan for: Girona's zona blava runs Monday to Saturday in working hours, 9:30–13:00 and 16:00–20:00, at 1.20 €/h capped at two hours (2.40 €), and the zona verda for non-residents costs the same with different hours — Pedreres–Vista Alegre Monday to Friday 9:30–13:00 and 17:00–20:00, Saturday 9:30–13:00, and Güell–Devesa Monday to Saturday 08:00–20:00. In Lloret de Mar the Can Lloranes car park has 160 spaces at roughly 15 €/day from 23 June to 11 September and is free the rest of the year, while the Avinguda Alegries park-and-ride has 200 spaces, is free for stays over 12 hours and includes a free bus ticket into the centre between 15 June and 15 September. The Zona de baixes emissions (ZBE) de Girona has been in force since 15.09.2025, covering the area from la Devesa park to c. d'Emili Grahit and from c. del Riu Güell to c. del Carme and Barri Vell, Monday to Friday 07:00–20:00 on working days, and it restricts cars without a DGT environmental badge that are not registered in Girona. Cameras read plates, so there is nothing to display; Spanish rental fleets carry the DGT badge, and a car with the sticker is not restricted.

What to watch on the coast roads

• Cap de Creus access: the road from Cadaqués to the Far de Cap de Creus is closed to cars at set hours in season — daily 9:30–21:30 from July to 13 September — check the day's window before you set out.
• Tolls: the remaining Generalitat tolls sit on the C-16 and the southern C-32, not on any local route — budget for fuel and parking instead.
