A week of open-top hire starts at €180 and a month at €630. The arithmetic behind both is simple and fixed: weekly equals the daily rate multiplied by six, monthly equals the daily rate multiplied by twenty-one. So the Fiat 500C at €30 a day comes to €180 for a week and €630 for a month, while the Porsche 911 Cabriolets at €576 a day work out at €3,456 weekly and €12,096 monthly.

What a Porsche 911 Cabriolet costs per day

The Porsche 911 (992) Carrera S Cabriolet and the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet both cost €576 per day — the top of our range. They share the same 3.0 L, 450 hp petrol engine and a four-seat layout, and the difference between them is where the power goes: the Carrera S drives the rear wheels, the Carrera 4S sends it through all four. Both use an automatic gearbox.

What drives the price up

• Engine size and power: 1.0 L and 70 hp in the Fiat 500C against 5.0 L and 450 hp in the Ford Mustang Convertible.

Two seats or four

Seven of the eight convertibles in our fleet seat four; only the Porsche 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 is a two-seater. The four-seat group covers the Fiat 500C, BMW 4 Series Convertible, Mini Cooper Convertible, Ford Mustang Convertible, Mercedes-Benz AMG C43 Cabriolet and both Porsche 911 Cabriolets — the 911 (992) Carrera S Cabriolet and the 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet. The Boxster pairs its two seats with a 4.0 L, 400 hp engine and rear-wheel drive at €464 per day, so it is the choice when the drive itself matters more than the passenger count.

Fiat 500C or Mini Cooper Convertible for a week

The Fiat 500C is €30 per day with a 1.0 L, 70 hp engine, a manual gearbox and front-wheel drive; the Mini Cooper Convertible is €64 per day, automatic, 1.5 L, 136 hp, also front-wheel drive. Our advice: take the Fiat for a short break of two or three days, and the Mini when the booking runs longer and you would rather not work a clutch in stop-start traffic.

The high-power end of the fleet

The Ford Mustang Convertible (5.0 L, 450 hp), Mercedes-Benz AMG C43 Cabriolet (3.0 L, 390 hp) and both Porsche 911s (3.0 L, 450 hp) sit at the top of the range, from €336 per day. The Mustang and the 911 Carrera S Cabriolet send power to the rear wheels, while the AMG C43 and the 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet put it down through all four.

We do not run an instant checkout. The delivery address, the date and the time are agreed with a manager before the booking is fixed, and only then does the car go on the schedule.

Agreeing the address, date and time

A booking with Rent-Trip is agreed with a manager before it is fixed: we confirm the delivery address, the date and the time, and only after that does the car enter the day's schedule. It takes one exchange rather than a checkout form, and it exists for a reason — an open-top car handed over at the wrong door at the wrong hour is a wasted morning in the sun. Give us the address where you will actually be standing, not the hotel you might move to, and the time you can realistically keep. If your flight or train shifts, tell the manager before the agreed slot rather than after it. The three details — address, date, time — are the whole of the arrangement on our side.

Where we deliver

We deliver the car to any address in Valencia and to Valencia Airport (VLC). That covers the terminal at Manises, a flat in Ruzafa, a hotel in Ciutat Vella or an apartment near the City of Arts and Sciences — you name the door and we bring the convertible to it. Delivery outside the city is arranged case by case and is not promised on the site, so if your plans sit beyond the ring road, raise it with the manager early rather than on the day. The car arrives clean and with a full tank. It must go back with a full tank — full-to-full, lleno-lleno in Spanish — otherwise the missing fuel and a refuelling service fee are charged as set out in the rental agreement. We offer no other fuel option: no pre-paid tank, no full-to-empty.

What to have ready at hand-over

• Driving licence: the original, in the name of the main driver — an EU/EEA licence is valid in Spain while it has not expired, and a third-country licence is valid if it is in force and, where it is not in Spanish, is either officially translated or issued under the Geneva or Vienna convention model. DGT advises getting an International Driving Permit before the trip.
• Bank card: the cards accepted for the deposit, the minimum age and any young-driver surcharge are agreed when booking.
• Fuel stop: the tank goes back full, so plan a petrol station close to your return point rather than hunting for one on the way.

Compulsory third-party liability cover is included in every rental by Spanish law and works even if the driver at the wheel was not named in the agreement.

Driving an open-top car in Valencia with a convertible rental

Traffic is on the right, every car in our fleet is left-hand drive, and the centre runs on 30 km/h and 50 km/h limits that make an open-top car genuinely pleasant rather than merely showy.

Which streets suit an open roof

• V-30 and V-21: the urban fast roads carry static speed cameras, so hold the limit rather than enjoying the engine.

The city-centre limit is 30 km/h on a street with one lane each way and 50 km/h where there are two or more lanes in one direction; streets built as a single platform with the pavement sit at 20 km/h. Out of town the picture changes: 90 km/h on a conventional road and 120 km/h on an autopista or autovía.

Parking an open-top car

• Zona azul centro y ensanches: Ciutat Vella, L'Eixample and Extramurs, 2 hours maximum, €1.00 for 60 minutes and €1.70 for 120 minutes.
• Zona azul resto ciudad: the same 2-hour cap, cheaper at €0.80 for 60 minutes and €1.50 for 120 minutes.
• Zona naranja: mixed resident and rotation parking, €2.10 for 60 minutes, with non-residents restricted to the rotation hours.
• Payment: ElParking, run by EYSA, and Telpark both cover the regulated zones.

The low-emission zone and an open roof

ZBE València (Zona de Bajas Emisiones) covers 27.8 km² inside Ronda Nord, the avenidas de Tarongers and Serradora, and Bulevard Sud, and it runs around the clock, 365 days. It applies only to category A cars — petrol registered before 2001 and diesel before 2006 — and only to those registered outside the province, then outside the city, before the rules widen to all category A vehicles.

Day trips worth the roof down with convertible car rental in Valencia

Roof down on the V-30 and V-21 is not the point — those are commuter arteries with fixed speed cameras. Point the car at the Albufera instead.

What to plan around

July and August are the peak months for hotel stays here, so start early in those months. The roof-down window is real: on the V-21 and V-30 there are fixed radars, and the urban limit on a street with one lane each way is 30 km/h, rising to 50 km/h only where two or more lanes run in one direction. In the city itself, blue-zone parking caps you at two hours — €1.00 for 60 minutes in the central zone, €0.80 in the rest of the city — so a day trip is the better use of the car.

Fuel parking and low-emission rules for convertibles car rental in Valencia

Three practical costs shape an open-top day in Valencia: petrol, a parking bay, and the low-emission rules that decide which cars may enter the centre at all.

Petrol prices and the full-to-full rule

Gasolina 95 E5 averaged €1.978 per litre across 62 filling stations in the municipality of València, with a median of €2.039 and a spread from €1.74 to €2.089; across the wider province of Valencia the average across 602 stations came out lower at €1.915. Our cars are supplied with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank — full-to-full, or lleno-lleno in Spanish. Nothing else is offered on the site: no pre-paid tank, no full-to-empty. Fill up within the last few kilometres before you bring the car back, because the missing fuel plus a refuelling service fee are charged exactly as set out in the rental agreement.

Where you can leave an open-top car

• Zona azul centro y ensanches (Ciutat Vella, L'Eixample, Extramurs): 2 hours maximum, €1.00 for 60 minutes and €1.70 for 120, metered in 5-minute steps.
• Zona azul resto ciudad: the same 2-hour cap, cheaper at €0.80 for an hour and €1.50 for two.
• Zona naranja (residents plus rotation): non-residents pay €2.10 for 60 minutes, €3.30 for 120, and only during rotation hours.
• Rotation hours: Ciutat Vella runs Monday to Friday 9:00–20:00; Ruzafa, El Botànic and La Roqueta 9:00–19:00; Saturday everywhere 9:00–15:00. Outside them the bay belongs to residents only.
• Zona verde: residents with a permit only — €86.20 for 12 months, charged pro rata by month.
• Anulación Denuncia: €4.00 in the ordinance tariff sheet if a parking fine is cancelled.

The ZBE València low-emission zone

ZBE València (Zona de Bajas Emisiones) covers 27.8 km² inside Ronda Nord, the avenidas de Tarongers and Serradora, and Bulevard Sud, and runs around the clock, 365 days a year. The staged rollout matters more than the boundary: from 01.12.2025 to 31.12.2026 only unlabelled cars (category A) registered outside the province of Valencia are restricted; from 01.01.2027 that widens to cars without a sticker registered outside the city; from 01.01.2028 every category A car is caught, residents included. Category A means petrol registered before 2001 and diesel before 2006. If you are planning a longer stay and want the paperwork side settled before you arrive, the delivery address, date and time are agreed with a manager when you book.

What we do not do

The deposit, the insurance excess, delivery fees and any discounts are not quoted here: they are set out in the rental agreement. The minimum rental age, the young-driver surcharge and the cards accepted are agreed when booking, so ask the manager before the booking is fixed. The fuel rule is the one exception we state plainly — full tank out, full tank back.
