East Pattaya around Mab Prachan sits 13.5 km by road from the city centre, about 16 minutes outside peak hours. Traffic keeps to the LEFT and every car is right-hand drive; give yourself a day to adjust before a long trip.

Police can fine ฿500–1,000 for driving without a valid permit, and an insurer may refuse a claim afterwards. Speed limits are 80 km/h in built-up areas, including Pattaya City, 90 km/h outside them and 120 km/h on Motorway 7. VAT 7% is already included in the prices shown. The maths is worth running before you choose a class.
