The single Luxury car is the Porsche Panamera. If your dates are fixed, book it first, because there is no second unit to fall back on.

Automatic transmission and fuel types across the fleet

Every sedan on this page is automatic, and they run on Petrol, Diesel, Hybrid or Electric. Economy and Comfort cars are petrol, with hybrids in Comfort. Electric covers eight cars, and Premium adds diesel and hybrid options alongside petrol. On longer bookings the multipliers matter more than the class: weekly is daily x 6 and monthly is daily x 21, so a Comfort car held for a month can undercut a Luxury car held for a week.

What changes the daily figure

• Trip length: weekly is daily x 6 and monthly is daily x 21, so the per-day figure falls the longer you keep the car.
• Class: the gap between Economy at ฿700 and Luxury at ฿16,000 is the widest single factor on the page.
• Model inside the class: Economy runs from ฿700 to ฿1,300, so the cheapest car in a class is not always the one you want.

A ฿700 Economy car for a month (฿14,700) works out lower per day than a ฿1,050 Comfort car for a week (฿6,300). Work out the total for your dates before you pick a class, not the headline daily rate.

Seats, engine and drivetrain by model

Sedans on this page seat four or five, run 1.0–3.5 L engines or electric motors, and drive the front, rear or all wheels. The four-seat cars are the Audi e-tron GT, the Porsche Taycan and the Porsche Panamera — everything else takes five.

When the trip is longer than the car

Weekly and monthly rates are lower per day than the daily rate — weekly is the daily price multiplied by six, monthly by twenty-one — so the class ranking shifts once a booking passes a week. At ฿700 a day the Suzuki Ciaz is ฿4,200 weekly and ฿14,700 monthly; the Toyota Camry Hybrid at ฿2,050 works out at ฿12,300 and ฿43,050. Over a full month, a Comfort Honda Accord at ฿22,050 costs less per day than an Economy Honda City paid day by day. Tell the manager the dates and the route when you book — the delivery slot and the class are agreed together, and the car comes to any address in Bangkok or to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang Airport (DMK).

Documents and licence rules for sedan rental in Bangkok

Two documents decide whether you drive away or not: your home driving licence and, for most visitors, an International Driving Permit.

Licence, IDP and passport at hand-over

A foreign visitor needs a home driving licence plus an International Driving Permit under the 1949 Geneva Convention, and a passport. Driving without one carries a ฿500–1,000 police fine, and an insurer may refuse a claim — so the permit is not a formality you can leave for later.

Who may drive on a national licence

Citizens of ASEAN countries may drive on their national licence without an International Driving Permit. For everyone else the permit is required alongside the home licence, and the two are checked together rather than one instead of the other. The minimum driver age is 21; conditions for drivers under 25 and for premium classes are set out in the agreement.

What to have ready when the car arrives

• Passport: the identity document that matches the name on the booking and on the driving licence.
• Home driving licence: the physical card, valid, with the class that covers a car.
• International Driving Permit: the 1949 Convention booklet, required for non-ASEAN licence holders.
• Bank card: a card in the main driver's name is used for the security hold; the amount is set out in the rental agreement.
• Booking details: the delivery address, date and time confirmed with a manager before the booking is fixed.

Thai traffic keeps to the left and every car is right-hand drive, so the first minutes behind the wheel are worth taking slowly regardless of how many years you have held a licence.

How delivery works for sedan rental in Bangkok

We deliver the car to any address in the city and to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang Airport (DMK). The delivery address, the date and the time are agreed with a manager before the booking is fixed; a delivery fee, if any, is agreed when booking. Because the car comes to you, the hand-over happens where you are staying.

What we need to fix the delivery slot

• Address or airport: any address in the city, Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or Don Mueang Airport (DMK) — the exact point is agreed with a manager.
• Date and time: the slot is confirmed before the booking is fixed, so tell us your flight number or your check-in time.
• Delivery fee: if one applies, it is agreed when booking — the amount is set out in the rental agreement, not on this page.
• Longer trips: weekly and monthly rates are lower per day than the daily rate — weekly = daily x 6, monthly = daily x 21.
• Elsewhere: delivery outside these points is arranged case by case and is not promised on the site.

What arrives with the car

The car comes clean with a full tank, and rental is available from 1 day. A bank card in the main driver's name is used for the security hold; the amount is set out in the rental agreement. The minimum driver age is 21, and conditions for drivers under 25 and for premium classes are set out in the agreement. VAT 7% is included in the prices shown. Since 30 December 2025 a car rental agreement is a contract controlled by the OCPB: it is written in Thai, and all fees and penalties are disclosed in it. If the delivery slot has to change — a delayed flight, a late check-in — tell the manager early.

Timing the hand-over around Bangkok traffic

Traffic keeps to the left and every car is right-hand drive, which is worth a minute of practice before you pull away. Suvarnabhumi sits about 25 km from downtown, and the drive in is where the delivery slot matters most: build twenty to thirty minutes of slack around the agreed time rather than cutting it fine. If you are collecting at Don Mueang, the airport sits on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, and the Don Muang Tollway runs overhead for the run south. Traffic-camera fines are issued to the car owner and re-invoiced to the renter, so keep to the posted limits. Tell the manager your arrival time and we will work the slot around it.

Driving a rented sedan in Bangkok

Thailand drives on the left and every car we hand over is right-hand drive, so the first ten minutes behind the wheel are the part of the trip worth planning for. Speed limits are set by road type: 80 km/h in built-up areas, 90 km/h outside them, 110 km/h on the expressways, 100 km/h on elevated sections and 120 km/h on Motorway 7 and Motorway 9.

Road rules worth knowing before you pull out

• Speed limits: 80 km/h in built-up areas, 90 km/h outside them, 120 km/h on Motorway 7 and Motorway 9, 110 km/h on expressways, 100 km/h on elevated sections.
• Seat belts: every passenger wears one, including the back row.
• Child seats: children under 6 need a TISI-standard seat, and anyone below 135 cm needs a seat or a special restraint — the fine runs up to ฿2,000.
• Red-and-white and yellow-and-white kerbs: no parking along either; an operator quotes ฿500 for the offence.
• Alcohol: 20 mg/dl applies to drivers under 20, holders of temporary licences and drivers without a valid licence for the class; for any other driver, treat any drink before driving as a risk.

Tolls and parking

City expressways run under EXAT — Chaloem Maha Nakhon, Si Rat and the rest — and take cash or an Easy Pass or M-PASS tag, which are interchangeable but one tag per car. A short expressway hop for a saloon sits around ฿50–100 as a guide, not an official EXAT tariff. Motorway 7 toward Chonburi and Pattaya is 149.3 km long with nine payment points: from the Lat Krabang entrance a saloon pays ฿25 to Bang Bo, ฿100 to Pong and ฿105 to Pattaya. Motorway 9 uses M-Flow, where a camera reads the plate and the bill follows — an unregistered driver has two days to pay by number; from the third day the tariff doubles, and a fine of ten times the tariff follows. Ask at hand-over whether a tag is attached to your car, and settle anything that arrives.

Shopping-centre parking is the easiest option in the centre. CentralWorld gives two hours free, then ฿20 an hour, rising to ฿50 after six. ICONSIAM gives two hours free, ฿30 for the third hour and ฿60 an hour after seven. Terminal 21 Asok gives three hours free, then ฿20 an hour for hours four to six and ฿50 from the seventh. Central Bangna gives six hours free, and Esplanade Ratchada, PARA Pinklao and Central Festival Eastville park you for nothing. On the street, check the sign where you stop.

The Low Emission Zone does not touch a rented saloon: it applies only to vehicles with six or more wheels in PM2.5 episodes, and the congestion charge proposed for Sukhumvit, Silom and Ratchadaphisek is not in force.

Longer bookings with Sedan rental in Bangkok and what changes

A week or a month on the road changes the arithmetic, not the car. The same 34 sedans are available for one day, seven days or thirty, and the only figure that moves is the per-day rate. Rent-Trip applies two multipliers: weekly at daily x 6 and monthly at daily x 21.

What the multipliers do to a daily rate

• Weekly rate: six daily rates cover seven days, so a Suzuki Ciaz at ฿700 per day comes to ฿4,200 for the week.
• Monthly rate: twenty-one daily rates cover thirty days, which puts the same Economy car at ฿14,700 for the month.
• Higher classes scale the same way: a Toyota Camry at ฿2,800 per day is ฿16,800 weekly and ฿58,800 monthly.
• Electric sedans: the BYD Seal, Changan Deepal L07, GAC Aion ES and GWM ORA 07 all sit at ฿1,250 per day, or ฿7,500 weekly and ฿26,250 monthly.
• Premium and Luxury: a Mercedes-Benz C 220 d at ฿3,500 per day runs ฿21,000 weekly; the Porsche Panamera at ฿16,000 per day is ฿96,000 weekly and ฿336,000 monthly.

The longer the booking, the more the class choice matters.

What we ask before fixing a long booking

A month in Bangkok is rarely thirty identical days. Tell us the pattern when you book — the dates, the delivery address and the time are agreed with a manager before the booking is fixed, and the same conversation is where a long-booking arrangement is settled.

Why the daily rate is not the whole story

A cheap daily rate on a car you barely fit is a worse month than a slightly dearer one you drive daily.

The weekly and monthly figures above are the only rate statements we make; anything else about a long booking — the deposit, the excess, any arrangement around the dates — is set out in the rental agreement or agreed when booking.

Insurance, agreement and support on sedan rental in Bangkok

Every car we hand over carries compulsory motor insurance, and the paperwork behind it is settled before you drive away. What that means in practice: injury to third parties is covered by Por Ror Bor, the policy attached to every registered car in Thailand, and damage to the car itself sits under first-class cover whose terms and excess are set out in the agreement rather than quoted here.

What is covered and what is not

• Por Ror Bor: compulsory motor insurance attached to every registered car; it covers injury to third parties, not the car.
• Class 1 insurance: covers damage to the car; its terms and the excess are set out in the agreement you receive.
• Traffic-camera fines: issued to the car owner and re-invoiced to the driver, so a camera on Motorway 7 reaches you through us.
• Security hold: a bank card in the main driver's name is used for it; the amount is set out in the agreement.

The agreement itself

Since 30 December 2025 a car rental agreement in Thailand is a contract controlled by the OCPB. It is written in Thai, and every fee and penalty is disclosed inside it. Read the Thai document and ask the manager about any clause you cannot follow — the OCPB rule exists precisely so that the fees are visible in writing rather than mentioned at hand-over. If a line in the contract does not match what you were told when booking, raise it before the car arrives, not after.

Support while the car is with you

The main driver must be at least 21, and conditions for drivers under 25 and for the premium classes are set out in the agreement. Documents to have ready are your passport, your home driving licence, an International Driving Permit unless you hold an ASEAN licence, and a bank card in the main driver's name.
