Weekly and monthly rates
Longer bookings drop the daily cost without any negotiation on your side. Weekly rates start at ฿5,100, which is the ฿850 daily rate × 6; monthly rates start at ฿17,850, the same daily rate × 21. Applied to the top of the range, the Tesla Model Y runs ฿10,200 a week and ฿35,700 a month on the same multipliers.
If your stay runs past a week, ask the manager to quote the whole period at the weekly or monthly rate before you confirm — the booking is fixed only after the dates, the delivery address and the price are agreed with a manager.
What sits inside the price
- Delivery: we bring the car to any address on Koh Samui or to Samui International Airport (USM); any delivery fee is agreed when booking.
- Security hold: a bank card in the main driver's name is used for it, and the amount is set out in the rental agreement.

What the ring road asks of an electric car
What the surface asks in return is attention — potholes, sometimes deep, standing water after rain, oil patches left by refuse trucks and animals on the road.
Documents a foreign driver needs
- Home driving licence: your national licence, valid and carried with you for the whole rental.
- International Driving Permit: the 1949 Geneva Convention permit, required alongside the national licence under section 42 bis of the Motor Vehicle Act; ASEAN nationals drive on their national licence instead.
- Passport: carried on you, not left in the car.
- Bank card: in the main driver's name, used for the security hold; the amount is set out in the rental agreement.
- Minimum age: 21; conditions for drivers under 25 are set out in the rental agreement.
- Police fine: driving without a valid permit costs ฿500–1,000, and an insurer may refuse a claim.
Rules that catch visitors out
The alcohol limit is 50 mg% in blood, dropping to 20 mg% for drivers under 20 and holders of temporary licences; the penalty runs to up to a year in prison, a fine of ฿5,000–20,000 or both, and a licence suspension of at least six months, and refusing the test counts as an admission. Children under six must ride in a TISI-standard child seat, and below 135 cm a seat belt or a special seat is required — the fine reaches ฿2,000. Everyone in the car, rear row included, wears a belt. Parking against a red-and-white or yellow-and-white kerb is prohibited.

Traffic here keeps to the left and every car is right-hand drive, which is worth a slow first loop around the block before you join the ring road. If a traffic-camera fine arrives after your booking, it is issued to the car owner and re-invoiced to you — so keep to the limits and there is nothing to settle later. Anything not covered here, from a late flight to a change of address, is agreed with a manager when booking.
