Ten cars is a working fleet rather than a showroom: five open cars and five closed ones. Convertibles carry the shoot that needs sky in the frame; the Luxury class covers the frame that needs presence — a coupe for a night street, an SUV for a hotel entrance. Both classes are right-hand drive, as every car in Thailand is, and traffic keeps to the left.
Pick the class by the frame you are shooting first, and the seat count second — a 2-seat convertible leaves no room for a second model or a crew member, and that is the one specification you cannot change once the car is on location.

In between sit the Bentley Bentayga at ฿35,000, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class at ฿55,000 and the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 at ฿60,000 — all four-seaters except the G-Class. That G-Class is the only 5-seat car here, so it is the one to book when the whole crew has to arrive in the same frame. The CLS 53 AMG is a coupe rather than an SUV, which reads differently against a lit facade than a Bentayga or a Cullinan does.

What to send us before the shoot day

- Number of days: one day, a full week or a month, so the rate is worked out on the right term.
- Driver details: the main driver's age, since the minimum driver age is 21, and whether anyone else will be behind the wheel.
- Anything unusual: a second location, an overnight hold, a night shoot after 22:00 — tell us at this stage and we plan for it.
Booking, agreement and the security hold
The rental agreement is a contract controlled by the OCPB, written in Thai, with all fees and penalties disclosed in it — that has been the rule since 30 December 2025, so read it rather than skim it. A bank card in the main driver's name is used for the security hold; the amount is set out in the agreement, and so are the conditions for drivers under 25 and for premium classes. Where a condition sits outside what we can state here — the deposit, the excess, a young-driver fee — it is set out in the rental agreement or agreed when booking.
Documents to have ready
- Passport: the main driver's own passport.
- Home driving licence: a full licence from your home country.
- International Driving Permit: required alongside the home licence under the 1949 Geneva Convention; ASEAN nationals drive on their national licence.
- Bank card: in the main driver's name, for the security hold.
Traffic-camera fines are issued to the car owner and re-invoiced to the renter, which is worth knowing on a shoot that runs late along Sukhumvit or Motorway 7.

Traffic in Thailand keeps to the left and every car is right-hand drive, so the first minutes behind the wheel feel like a mirror image of what most visitors know. For a shoot day this matters more than usual: you are steering with one eye on the frame, and the paperwork has to be right before the car moves at all.
What a foreign driver needs to carry
- Home driving licence: your national licence from your own country, valid and not expired, is the base document for a foreign visitor.
- International Driving Permit: Thailand recognises the 1949 Geneva Convention permit, so bring the IDP alongside the national licence, not instead of it.
- ASEAN nationals: citizens of ASEAN countries may drive on their national licence without an IDP and without conversion.
- Passport and bank card: the passport plus a bank card in the main driver's name complete the set; the security hold is set out in the agreement.
- Minimum age: the minimum driver age is 21, and conditions for drivers under 25 and for premium classes are set out in the agreement.
An insurer may refuse a claim if the documents are not in order — a detail worth checking before a shoot that runs late into the evening.

A sign can lower any of these, and on Motorway 7 the 120 km/h limit is enforced primarily by speed cameras. Camera fines are issued to the car owner and re-invoiced to the renter, so the ticket follows the booking rather than the driver at the wheel. The drink-drive threshold of 20 mg/dl applies to drivers under 20, holders of temporary licences, drivers without a licence or with the wrong category; for any other driver, treat any alcohol before a night shoot as a reason to hand the keys to someone else.
Insurance and the agreement
Compulsory motor insurance, Por Ror Bor, covers injury to third parties and is attached to every registered car. First-class insurance covers damage to the car itself, and its terms and the excess are set out in the agreement. Since 30 December 2025 a car rental agreement in Thailand is a contract controlled by the OCPB: it is written in Thai, and all fees and penalties are disclosed in it. Our own paperwork is agreed with a manager when booking, and the delivery address, date and time are fixed at the same point.
Insurance and hand-over on a photoshoot rental in Pattaya
Compulsory motor insurance (Por Ror Bor) is attached to every registered car we rent out — it covers injury to third parties and travels with the vehicle, not with the driver. On top of that, first-class (Class 1) insurance covers damage to the car itself. The terms of that cover and the excess are set out in the rental agreement. The practical point for a shoot day: if a light stand tips against a door while the crew is repositioning, the claim runs through the agreement and its excess.

The car is delivered to the address agreed when booking, and the delivery address, date and time are confirmed with a manager before the booking is fixed. That matters more on a photoshoot than on an ordinary hire: a 06:00 call time at Pratamnak Hill and a 19:00 call time on Beach Road are two different logistics problems, and both are settled in the same conversation.
If a traffic camera on Motorway 7 records the car, the fine is issued to the owner — us — and re-invoiced to you. Speed limits are 80 km/h in built-up areas, 90 km/h outside them and 120 km/h on Motorway 7, with signs able to lower the figure. On a shoot run that means the drive between backdrops is not the place to make up time.
