Where we deliver a self-drive car

We deliver to any address in Valencia and to Valencia Airport (VLC).

• Any city address: hotels, apartments and private addresses across the city, including Ruzafa, the city centre and the Malvarrosa and El Cabanyal seafront.

Which class suits a week or a month

Weekly bookings start from €78 and monthly from €273, counted as daily × 6 and daily × 21. On a long booking the arithmetic rewards going one class down: a Crossover at €33 a day becomes €198 a week, and the difference against a Premium at €51 pays for a lot of fuel — Gasolina 95 E5 averages €1.978 a litre in the city. If you are unsure between two classes, take the lower one and spend the saving on the road.

Automatic or manual, petrol or electric

Automatic cars cluster in the hybrid and electric part of the fleet — Toyota Yaris at €15, Jeep Renegade at €34, Renault 5 E-Tech at €25 — while most Economy hatchbacks are manual.

Every booking with Rent-Trip includes Seguro Obligatorio de Responsabilidad Civil, the compulsory third-party cover that Spanish law attaches to any car allowed on the road. The daily rate you see is for the car and that cover, nothing else. On the fuel side our rule is full-to-full: the car comes with a full tank and goes back with a full tank, and anything missing is charged as set out in the rental agreement. How weekly and monthly rates are counted

A week is charged as six daily rates and a month as twenty-one.

• Weekly rate: daily price × 6, so an Economy car at €13/day comes to €78 for the week.
• Monthly rate: daily price × 21, so the same car comes to €273 for the month.
• Same multiplier for every class: the ×6 and ×21 rule does not change when you move up to a Crossover, an SUV or a Premium model.
• Why it matters: a long stay billed at 30 separate daily rates costs noticeably more than a monthly booking at ×21.
• Where to check it: multiply your chosen class rate by 6 or 21 before you confirm, and the total is what the agreement will show.

Budgeting on that formula before you book keeps the long-stay total predictable, and it is the one calculation worth doing twice.

A Ford Fiesta and a Nissan Micra both start at €13 per day, but one carries 100 hp and the other 92 hp, and both run a 1.0 L petrol engine with a manual gearbox and front-wheel drive.

Give the street and the building entrance, not just the district.

If you land at Valencia Airport (VLC)

Aeropuerto de Valencia (Manises) handles more than 11.8 million passengers, so arrivals can bunch up. Metrovalencia lines 3 and 5 also reach the centre in 15 minutes, but they will not carry your luggage to Albufera or Sagunto the way a car does.

Below is what matters behind the wheel of a self-drive car, and how to handle parking without collecting a fine.

The ZBE València low-emission zone and self-drive cars

The ZBE València (Zona de Bajas Emisiones) covers 27.8 km² inside Ronda Nord, avenidas de Tarongers and Serradora, and Bulevard Sud, with stage one running from 01.12.2025 to 31.12.2026 and restricting only category A vehicles — petrol registered before 2001 and diesel before 2006 — that are registered outside the province of Valencia. From 01.01.2027 the restriction extends to category A cars registered outside the city, and from 01.01.2028 it covers all category A vehicles including residents' own.

Speed limits and the cameras that watch them

Spanish limits apply on every road you take out of the city: 120 km/h on autopista and autovía, 90 km/h on a conventional carretera, 30 km/h on a city street with one lane in each direction, 50 km/h where there are two or more lanes each way, and 20 km/h on a street where pavement and roadway share one level. Speeding fines run 100 EUR with no points up to 600 EUR with 6 points, and 50 % comes off if you pay within 20 calendar days. Two roads are worth knowing by name: the V-21 (acceso a Valencia) and the V-30 (vía rápida urbana) both carry fixed speed cameras, and the AP-7 Mediterranean motorway has been toll-free since 01.01.2020 — so a run south towards Dénia, Calp, Benidorm or Peñíscola costs nothing in péage.

Parking: zona azul, zona naranja and what a space costs

• Zona azul centro y ensanches (Ciutat Vella, L'Eixample, Extramurs): maximum 2 hours, 0.55 EUR for up to 25 minutes, 1.00 EUR for 60 minutes, 1.70 EUR for 120 minutes, billed in 5-minute steps.
• Zona azul resto ciudad: the same 2-hour cap at 0.30 EUR up to 25 minutes, 0.80 EUR for an hour, 1.50 EUR for two.
• Zona naranja (mixed resident and rotation): non-residents pay 1.10 EUR up to 25 minutes, 2.10 EUR for an hour, 3.30 EUR for two; hours vary by district — Ciutat Vella Monday to Friday 9:00–20:00, Ruzafa, El Botànic and La Roqueta 9:00–19:00, and everywhere Saturday 9:00–15:00.
• Zona verde: residents with a permit only; the resident tariff is 86.20 EUR for 12 months, charged pro rata by month.

Payment runs through the parquímetro or the operators ElParking (EYSA) and Telpark.

Insurance, deposit and hand-over in self-drive car rental in Valencia

Checking the car before you drive away

Treat the walk-around as part of the booking. Spanish consumer rules require every scratch and dent to be written into the agreement or the inspection sheet before you leave, signed by both sides, with a copy kept by the renter — otherwise the damage is attributed to you. If the model you booked is not available, you may ask for another car at no extra charge, even a class above; if you are given a lower class, the price must come down, and if the car does not match the agreed conditions you can cancel and recover the prepayment.

Fuel and the return

The car comes clean and with a full tank, and it goes back full — lleno-lleno. Anything missing is charged as fuel plus a refuelling service fee, both set out in the rental agreement. Nothing else is offered on this page: no pre-paid tank, no full-to-empty. Fill up close to the return point and keep the receipt until the car has been checked in.

One last thing worth deciding in advance: the city has a low-emission zone, ZBE València, covering 27.8 km² inside Ronda Nord, avenidas de Tarongers and Serradora and Bulevard Sud. Cars with a Spanish plate and a DGT sticker — B, C, ECO or 0 — fall outside its restrictions, while category A vehicles do not.
