Thailand drives on the left and every car on this page is right-hand drive, so your first kilometre in a Honda will feel mirrored. Speed limits are 80 km/h in built-up areas, 90 km/h outside them, 120 km/h on the motorways and 110 km/h on the expressways.
Tolls on the Expressways and Motorways
- Motorway 7 to Pattaya: 125.865 km as far as Pattaya, with nine payment points; from the Lat Krabang entrance a car pays 25 ฿ to Bang Bo, 100 ฿ to Pong and 105 ฿ to Pattaya.
- Motorway 9, the outer ring: M-Flow reads your plate and bills later — without registration you have two days to pay by plate number before the tariff doubles, then adds a penalty of ten times the tariff.
- Don Muang Tollway: 28.1 km above Vibhavadi Rangsit Road from Din Daeng to Don Mueang, roughly 60–115 ฿ for a passenger car.
- Payment: cash, Easy Pass or M-PASS at the barriers; ask at hand-over whether a tag is fitted to your Honda and how M-Flow bills are settled.
Parking, Fines and the Low Emission Zone
- Shopping malls: CentralWorld gives two hours free, then 20 ฿ an hour, rising to 50 ฿ after six; ICONSIAM gives two hours free and 30 ฿ for the third; Terminal 21 Asok gives three.

Fuel, Speed and the Drive Itself
Fuel is the one cost you control completely. Bangchak retail prices at the last reading were ฿39.94 for gasohol 95, ฿39.57 for gasohol 91, ฿34.94 for E20, ฿41.44 for diesel B7 and ฿49.29 for premium 98 per litre, with no provincial tax added. Speeds are straightforward: 80 km/h in built-up areas, 90 km/h outside them, 120 km/h on the motorways and 110 km/h on the expressways. The Motorway 7 limit is enforced primarily by speed cameras, and a camera fine is issued to the car owner — us, not you — and then re-invoiced to the driver, so it will reach you after the trip rather than at the roadside.
