What Happens with Salik Tolls and Extra Kilometres

Where You Can Drive a Rented Chevrolet in Dubai

Why Off-Road and Desert Driving Are Not Allowed
The rental agreement prohibits driving on unpaved surfaces, including desert sand and dunes, and the comprehensive insurance (CDW) does not apply off-road. Desert excursions such as dune bashing are done with a licensed tour operator in their own vehicles, never in a hire car. If you plan a desert safari, book it separately and keep the Chevrolet on paved roads — a fine or damage claim from sand driving is not covered. For long out-of-town routes, check the fuel gauge before leaving the city: all five Chevrolets run on petrol, and refuelling is the renter's responsibility.
