Weekly works out as the daily rate × 6, monthly as the daily rate × 21. Take the Ciaz: ฿700 × 6 gives ฿4,200, and ฿700 × 21 gives ฿14,700. A month on the Swift comes to ฿18,900 by the same arithmetic. The longer the booking, the lower the per-day figure — that is the whole point of the two multipliers, and they are the only ones we use.
What the price includes
VAT 7% is included in the prices shown, and a booking can start from 1 day. Beyond that, the details that carry a number — the security hold on your bank card, any delivery fee, the insurance excess — are set out in the rental agreement or agreed with a manager when you book.
One practical note: a stay of a week or more is where the multipliers do the work. If your dates are fixed, ask the manager for the weekly and monthly figure for your model before you decide on the length of the booking.

Documents and conditions for renting a Suzuki in Bangkok
Two documents decide whether your booking goes smoothly: a driving licence your home country issued, and — for most visitors — an International Driving Permit to go with it.
What to bring to the hand-over
- Home driving licence: a full licence from your country of residence.
- International Driving Permit: required alongside your national licence under the 1949 Geneva Convention; citizens of ASEAN countries may drive on their national licence instead.
- Bank card: a card in the main driver's name is used for the security hold — the amount is set out in the rental agreement.
Driving without an IDP carries a police fine of ฿500–1,000, and an insurer may refuse a claim after an accident — the permit costs far less than that risk.
Age, insurance and the rental agreement
The minimum driver age for Suzuki car rental in Bangkok is 21, and conditions for drivers under 25 are set out in the rental agreement. Every registered car in Thailand carries Por Ror Bor, the compulsory motor insurance covering injury to third parties; first-class (Class 1) insurance covers damage to the car itself, and its terms and the excess are set out in the same agreement. Since 30 December 2025 a car rental agreement in Thailand is a contract controlled by the OCPB: it is written in Thai, and all fees and penalties are disclosed in it. The excess is set out in the rental agreement, and both Suzuki models on this page — the Ciaz at ฿700 a day and the Swift at ฿900 a day — run on petrol with an automatic transmission.

Suzuki car rental in Bangkok for traffic, tolls and fuel
Thailand keeps to the left and every car here is right-hand drive, so both Suzuki models put you on the unfamiliar side of the centre line. The automatic gearbox removes one task from the first hour of driving; the tolls and the fuel stops are the two things worth understanding before you leave the kerb.
Traffic rules and speed limits
- Side of the road: traffic keeps to the LEFT and every car is right-hand drive, including the Ciaz and the Swift.
- Built-up areas: 80 km/h in built-up areas, which covers central Bangkok and its municipal roads.
- Outside built-up areas: 90 km/h on ordinary roads beyond the city limits.
- Motorways: 120 km/h on Motorway 7 and Motorway 9, the outer Kanchanaphisek ring.
- Expressways: 110 km/h on the EXAT expressways, and 100 km/h on elevated sections.
Speed cameras on Motorway 7 enforce the 120 km/h limit and the fine is issued to the car owner, which means it reaches us and is re-invoiced to the renter. Keep to the speed on the sign, not to the speed of the traffic.
Tolls and fuel on your route
Motorway 7 to Pattaya is 149.3 km in total and 125.865 km of it to Pattaya itself; from the Lat Krabang entrance a passenger car pays ฿25 to Bang Bo, ฿100 to Pong and ฿105 to Pattaya. Motorway 9 runs barrier-free on M-Flow: a camera reads the plate and the bill follows, or you pay by tag.
Fuel is petrol in both cars, and Bangchak retail prices in Bangkok on 24 September 2026 were ฿39.94 for gasohol 95, ฿39.57 for gasohol 91, ฿34.94 for E20, ฿41.44 for diesel B7 and ฿49.29 for premium 98. The Ciaz and the Swift both take gasohol, not diesel.

On timing, be realistic about the roads. A run from Suvarnabhumi into the centre measures about 40.6 km by road and takes 52 minutes without traffic; from Don Mueang it is 27.4 km and 40 minutes. Add the peak-hour margin yourself, and remember you are driving on the left with the wheel on the right — the first ten minutes in an unfamiliar lane are the ones worth planning around.

Where you can take a Suzuki out of the capital
- Pattaya: Motorway 7 runs 149.3 km from the capital to Chonburi and Map Ta Phut, and the Pattaya exit sits at 125.865 km from the start.
- Khao Yai, Damnoen Saduak and Amphawa, Ko Samet: longer loops that suit a weekly booking rather than a single day out.
- Suvarnabhumi Airport: Motorway 7 passes the airport itself, which is why it is the main route out of the city towards the coast.
- Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal: the long-distance rail hub since 19.01.2023, useful if part of your group travels by train and meets you at the other end.
Tolls and fuel on a day out
Motorway 7 has nine payment points, and for a four-wheel car from the Lat Krabang entrance the toll is ฿25 to Bang Bo, ฿100 to Pong and ฿105 to Pattaya. The whole run from the city to Pattaya works out at roughly ฿105–฿130, paid in cash or with an M-PASS or Easy Pass tag — the two are interchangeable, but one tag per car. Motorway 9, the outer Kanchanaphisek ring, uses M-Flow instead: no barrier, a camera reads the plate and the bill follows, or you can use M-PASS. On the Don Muang Tollway, the 28.1 km stretch over Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, expect ฿60–฿115.
Fuel is the other cost to plan. Petrol at Bangchak retail prices runs at ฿39.94 for gasohol 95 and ฿39.57 for gasohol 91 per litre, with E20 at ฿34.94 and E85 at ฿30.88.
What to settle before a long drive
Two things are worth confirming with a manager when you book, not on the morning you leave. Ask whether the M-Flow tag on your car is registered — a bill for an unregistered pass must be paid within two days before the doubled rate and the 10× penalty follow. And check the return time you agreed before you drive back.
