Two things that catch people out

Parking is the first. Zona azul in the centre and the ensanches (Ciutat Vella, L'Eixample, Extramurs) allows a maximum of 2 hours, costs €1.00 for 60 minutes and €1.70 for 120 minutes, and runs Monday to Saturday in two windows, 09:00–14:00 and 16:00–20:00.

The second is the ZBE València. Fines for parking and unpaid tolls fall on the owner or the renter of the car, while moving offences, alcohol and drugs fall on whoever was driving.
