The Swift is a 1.2 L, 91 hp hatchback, while the Ciaz sedan gives you a separate boot for airport runs. Driving in Pattaya: what to sort out before you set off

Speed limits are 80 km/h inside Pattaya City, which the law names a built-up area, 90 km/h outside it and 120 km/h on Motorway 7, where the limit is enforced primarily by speed cameras. A camera fine is issued to the car owner — that is, to the rental company — and re-invoiced to the renter, so keep to the signs. Driving without a valid licence and permit carries a police fine of ฿500–1,000, and an insurer may refuse a claim.
