The ZBE in Girona and what it means for a van

The Zona de baixes emissions (ZBE) de Girona has been in force since 15.09.2025, covering the area from la Devesa park to c. d'Emili Grahit and from c. del Riu Güell to c. del Carme and Barri Vell. It runs 7–20 on Monday to Friday working days and restricts vehicles without a DGT environmental badge that are not registered in Girona; cameras read plates, so there is nothing to display. Spanish rental fleets carry the DGT badge, so a hired van is not affected by the restriction — but if you drive your own van into Girona, check the badge before you plan a delivery run through the old town.
