Why the class you pick moves the price more than the dates

• Commercial: four vans from €84 per day — the Connect at €84, the Custom at €104, and the H2 350 L2 and L3 at €125 and €138, so a move or a delivery run starts well above the cheapest car.
• Economy to SUV: the Fiesta, Focus, Puma and Kuga sit between €24 and €52 per day, which is the band most leisure bookings fall into.
• Electric: the Mach-E at €85 per day is the only automatic-electric option, and charging is paid as you go rather than bundled into the rate.
• Passenger vans: the nine-seat Tourneo Custom at €95 per day is the single vehicle in the fleet that takes a full group with luggage.
• Convertibles: the Mustang Convertible at €336 per day is the top of the range and the only 5.0 L, 450 hp car we hold.

The spread between €24 and €336 is a spread between jobs, not between seasons — a van for a move and a convertible for a coastal run are simply different products. If your dates are fixed and your class is not, pick the class first and then the days; if the class is fixed and the dates are flexible, the daily × 6 and daily × 21 figures are what your quote will be built from. Deposit, insurance excess and any delivery fee are set out in the rental agreement, and we confirm them with you when the booking is agreed.

Tolls on the way out of the city

The paid road out towards Sant Cugat and the Vallès is the C-16 through the Túnels de Vallvidrera, at €4.7 for a car. That is the toll most Ford drivers here meet first, because it sits on the natural line between the city and the inland business parks. If your trip stays inside the Rondes B-10 and B-20, you pay nothing — those are free motorways, and the general limit on them inside the built-up area is 80 km/h unless a sign says otherwise. On the open autopista and autovía the limit is 120 km/h, and on an ordinary carretera convencional 90 km/h. In town it drops hard: 50 km/h on streets with two or more lanes each way, 30 km/h with one lane each way, and 20 km/h on a single-platform street where the pavement and the roadway are level. Speed fines run €100–€600 with 2–6 points, so the tunnel is the cheap part of the day.

Insurance: what is included and what is optional

Every legally roadworthy car in Spain carries Seguro Obligatorio de Responsabilidad Civil, and it is included in any booking by law — it covers injury to third parties up to 70,000,000 EUR per incident and property damage up to 15,000,000 EUR per incident, under Real Decreto Legislativo 8/2004, article 4.2, as amended by Ley 5/2025, with the amounts in force since 26.07.2025. It does not cover the driver or the car itself. On top of that, the company offers CDW, THW, SCDW/SPCDW, STHW/SPTHW and WWI cover for glass and tyres — each option reduces your liability but never removes the excess, which is printed in the agreement.

What to check before you drive away

Under Spanish consumer rules, the advertised price must include every compulsory charge without which you cannot drive, and any scratches or dents must be written into the agreement or the inspection sheet before you leave — both sides sign it and you keep a copy. If the model you booked is not available, you can ask for another car at no extra cost, even a higher class; if you are given a lower class, the price must come down. In our experience, the drive out matters less than the return: the Túnels de Vallvidrera and the Rondes back into the city clog from 18:00, so a Costa Brava day works better with a 16:00 departure than a sunset one.
