We deliver to any address in the city and to Valencia Airport (VLC), and the delivery address, the date and the time are agreed with a manager before the booking is fixed. Driving a rental car at Valencia Airport into the city

Metrovalencia lines 3 and 5 cover the same run in roughly 15 minutes, but a car keeps your own timetable, which matters when your flight lands after the last convenient train.

The airport in Manises adjoins the A-3 and sits close to the A-7, so the motorway link into the city is short and signed. Ronda Nord, avenidas de Tarongers and Serradora and Bulevard Sud mark the boundary of the ZBE València low-emission zone, 27.8 km² in all. Cars with Spanish plates and a DGT badge — B, C, ECO or 0 — fall outside those restrictions, which only bite on category A vehicles: petrol registered before 2001 and diesel before 2006.

Parking in the middle of town takes planning. Ciutat Vella, L'Eixample and Extramurs run the zona azul at €1.00 for 60 minutes and €1.70 for 120, capped at two hours; the outer blue zones are cheaper at €0.80 and €1.50. The zona naranja is mixed — residents plus rotation — and costs non-residents €2.10 an hour, with windows that vary by district: Monday to Friday 9:00–20:00 in Ciutat Vella, 9:00–19:00 around Ruzafa, El Botànic and La Roqueta, and Saturday 9:00–15:00 everywhere. ElParking and Telpark both handle payment.

Day trips in a rental car from Valencia Airport

The AP-7 (Autopista del Mediterráneo) between Salou (Tarragona) and Alicante has been toll-free since 01.01.2020, when the Aumar concession ended and 373.8 km were released — Dénia, Calp, Benidorm and Peñíscola are now reached from the airport without a péage. That single change is why a day trip out of the terminal no longer carries a motorway budget line.

The Parc Natural de l'Albufera covers 21,120 hectares and was declared a protected area on 08.07.1986. It is a half-day, not a full one: an afternoon there leaves the evening free.

Inland, where the motorway does not go

The Requena and Utiel wine country and Chulilla sit west and north-west of the city, and Xàtiva inland to the south, away from the coast.

Insurance and the deposit

Seguro Obligatorio de Responsabilidad Civil is included in every hire by Spanish law and applies even if someone not named in the agreement was driving; it covers harm to third parties, not the car and not the driver. The excess itself and the deposit are set out in the rental agreement. When the car is handed over, every scratch and dent goes into the contract or the inspection sheet before you drive off, both sides sign it and you keep a copy — otherwise the damage is charged to you.

Fines and the small print

For parking and unpaid tolls, the owner or the renter answers; for moving offences, alcohol and drugs, whoever was behind the wheel does. Speed limits are 120 km/h on autopista and autovía, 90 km/h on an ordinary country road, and 30 km/h on a city street with one lane each way. The AP-7 from Salou through Valencia to Alicante has been toll-free since 01.01.2020, so Dénia, Calp, Benidorm and Peñíscola cost nothing in péage.
