The multiplier applies to the car you have chosen, so the Cayenne S week comes to $1,500 and its month to $5,250 — the entry figure of $720 belongs to the Cayenne alone. If your trip runs past seven days, ask the manager to price it both ways before the booking is fixed.

Which driving licence works for Porsche hire in Tbilisi
A foreign driving licence is valid in Georgia for up to one year from the date of entry, with no exchange needed. If your licence carries neither Latin nor Cyrillic script, bring an international driving permit or a notarised translation — Georgia is a party to the 1968 Vienna Convention, and the recognition and exchange of foreign licences is set by the Law of Georgia on Road Traffic and by an order of the Minister of Internal Affairs.

Georgia has no compulsory third-party motor insurance for owners of Georgian-registered cars at the moment: the government put its introduction into the autumn legislative work plan, with no date named. A rental car here carries Georgian plates, so the mandatory insurance for foreign-registered vehicles does not apply to it. In practice this means your protection comes from the agreement you sign, which is one more reason to read the excess line before you commit.

Roads worth the drive from the capital
- Kazbegi (Stepantsminda): 153 km from Freedom Square along the S3 Georgian Military Highway, past Ananuri at 66 km and Gudauri at 121 km, crossing the Jvari Pass at 2,379 m.
- Gudauri: 121 km, usually 2–2.5 hours; the resort sits at 2,200 m and the ski season runs from early December to mid-April, with winter tyres compulsory from 1 December to 1 March.
- Mtskheta: 26 km, the shortest run out of the city and an easy half-day in any of the four cars.
- Sighnaghi and Kakheti: 109 km to Sighnaghi and 93 km to Telavi through the wine country.
What the mountain roads demand
A 23 km bypass with a 9 km tunnel has been under construction since 2021, so check the road status before you set off. All of Georgia's international and domestic roads remain free of charge — the Roads Department confirmed on 10.06.2026 that no tolls, vignettes or transponders are planned, and the 52 km Rikoti section with its 51 tunnels and 97 bridges, opened on 29.12.2025, is free as well.

Fill up in the capital before the climb. For Armenia, the main crossing at Sadakhlo–Bagratashen is 70 km south by road, and a rental car goes there only with our driver.
