The MG Cyberster is the only two-seat EV on this page, and the Audi e-tron GT, Porsche Taycan and Mini Cooper SE are the four-seaters. Daily, weekly and monthly rates
Hire starts at ฿1,050 a day; weekly is from ฿6,300 and monthly from ฿22,050. Weekly is daily × 6 and monthly is daily × 21, so the longer the hire, the lower the per-day cost. Weekly and monthly rates are lower per day than the daily rate, and the car is available from 1 day.
What the price does and does not cover
- VAT 7%: already included in the prices shown, so ฿1,050 means ฿1,050.
- Compulsory insurance (Por Ror Bor): attached to every registered car and covers injury to third parties.
- First-class (Class 1) cover: covers damage to the car; its terms and the excess are set out in the rental agreement.
- Security hold: taken on a bank card in the main driver's name; the amount is set out in the agreement.

Every hire follows the same three steps: pick the car and dates, agree the delivery address, date and time with a manager, and confirm the booking.
Agreeing the address, date and time
The delivery address, the date and the time are agreed with a manager before the booking is fixed. You tell us where the car should be — a hotel on Sukhumvit, a condo in Sathorn, a house in Chatuchak — and when you want it there; we confirm both back to you. Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang Airport (DMK) are both on our delivery list for this city.
What we need from you at booking
- Home driving licence: your national licence from your country of residence.
- International Driving Permit: issued under the 1949 Geneva Convention, required alongside the national licence for non-ASEAN visitors.
- Bank card: in the main driver's name; it is used for the security hold, and the amount is set out in the rental agreement.

Hire is available from 1 day, so a single overnight run out to Ayutthaya or a two-week stay in the city are both ordinary bookings for us — daily rates apply from ฿1,050, and longer hires follow the weekly and monthly terms.
Electric car rental in Bangkok rules and charging
An electric car changes the driving routine here more than the paperwork does: traffic keeps to the left, and every car is right-hand drive.
Left-hand traffic, right-hand drive, and the 80 km/h city limit
Thailand drives on the left, and every car in our fleet is right-hand drive, so the driver sits nearest the centre of the road. Built-up areas carry an 80 km/h limit, motorways M7 and M9 allow 120 km/h, expressways 110 km/h and elevated sections 100 km/h. Speed cameras on Motorway 7 enforce the 120 km/h limit, and a camera fine is issued to the car owner and re-invoiced to the renter, so a fast run to Pattaya is best kept within the posted limit. The Low Emission Zone covering all 50 districts applies to vehicles with six or more wheels during PM2.5 episodes, and cars with an electric drivetrain sit on the exemption list.
Planning the charge
Electricity replaces the pump, so the charging stop is the one part of an EV day that needs planning. If you are unsure which connector your car uses and whether a cable is in the car, ask the manager when the delivery address is agreed.
Parking, tolls and the small print of an EV day
- Toll payment: expressways accept cash or an Easy Pass tag, and the M-PASS tag works on the same gantries — one tag per car, not two.
- M-Flow: on barrier-free sections the camera reads the plate and the bill follows; without a registered tag it must be settled within two days, after which the tariff doubles.
- Mall parking: CentralWorld gives two hours free, then ฿20 per hour, rising to ฿50 after six; ICONSIAM gives two hours free and charges ฿30 for the third.
- Kerbside parking: red-and-white and yellow-and-white kerbs are no-parking zones.
- Congestion charge: a ฿40–50 charge for Sukhumvit, Silom and Ratchadaphisek has been discussed but is not in force.
- Child seats: children under six need a TISI-standard seat, and anyone under 135 cm needs a belt or a special seat.

The paperwork for electric car rental in Bangkok is short but strict on one point: your home licence alone is not enough. A foreign visitor needs a home driving licence plus an International Driving Permit, issued under the 1949 Geneva Convention and recognised here under section 42 bis of the Motor Vehicle Act. Citizens of ASEAN countries are the exception — they drive on their national licence, with no permit attached. Passport, home licence, permit and a bank card in the main driver's name are the four items to have ready.

Day trips and longer hires by electric car
Bangkok is a launch pad, not a destination. The question is which car, and how long you keep it.
Matching the car to the route
- Hua Hin and Kanchanaburi: longer highway runs, 191.2 km and 125.5 km by road from the centre.
- Groups: the MG Maxus 9 is the only 7-seat EV on the page.
Longer hires: how the rates fall
Weekly is daily × 6 and monthly is daily × 21, so the per-day cost drops the longer you keep the car. On the BYD Dolphin that is from ฿6,300 a week or ฿22,050 a month, against ฿1,050 for a single day. Rent-Trip prices every class the same way, so the same multiplier applies whether you take a Nissan Leaf or a BMW i7.
If you are staying a fortnight or more, take the car for the whole period rather than booking two shorter hires — one delivery, one agreement, one hand-over at the end. We deliver to any address in Bangkok, and the date, time and address are agreed with a manager before the booking is fixed.
Charging away from the city
Plan the charging stop before you leave the city rather than counting on finding one on the way. On the expressways inside the city, Easy Pass and M-PASS both work, but one tag per car.
