ZBE València: what actually applies to a Seat

The ZBE ordinance was approved by the Comisión de Patrimonio on 21.10.2025, with the first phase running 01.12.2025–31.12.2026, when only category A cars — petrol registered before 2001 and diesel before 2006 — registered outside the province of Valencia are restricted. From 01.01.2027–31.12.2027 the rule extends to category A cars registered outside the city, and from 01.01.2028 it applies to every category A car, residents included. Note the hours: the zone operates 24/7, 365 days a year — a Sunday morning entry is treated exactly like a Tuesday rush hour.

Parking: zona azul, zona naranja and the ORA receipt

• Zona azul centro y ensanches (Ciutat Vella, L'Eixample, Extramurs): maximum 2 hours, €0.55 up to 25 minutes, €1.00 for 60 minutes, €1.70 for 120 minutes, billed in 5-minute steps.
• Zona azul resto ciudad: same 2-hour cap, cheaper — €0.30 up to 25 minutes, €0.80 for 60 minutes, €1.50 for 120 minutes.
• Zona naranja (mixed resident and rotation): non-residents pay €1.10 up to 25 minutes, €2.10 for 60 minutes, €3.30 for 120 minutes; Ciutat Vella runs Mon–Fri 9:00–20:00, Ruzafa, El Botànic and La Roqueta Mon–Fri 9:00–19:00, and Saturdays everywhere 9:00–15:00.

On the urban approach the posted limit is what matters, and the same 120 km/h, 90 km/h, 50 km/h and 30 km/h rules apply there as everywhere else on Spanish roads.

• Peñíscola and Dénia: the AP-7 stretch between Tarragona and Alicante has been toll-free since 01.01.2020, so 373.8 km of motorway along this coast costs nothing at the barrier.

• ZBE València: the low-emission zone covers 27.8 km² inside Ronda Nord, avenidas de Tarongers and Serradora and Bulevard Sud; cars carrying a DGT sticker are outside the category A restriction, but the rule is worth confirming with the manager when you book.
• Parking in the city: zona azul runs Monday to Saturday in two windows, 09:00–14:00 and 16:00–20:00, at €1.00 for 60 minutes in the central zones — a two-hour cap applies.
