The weekly rate is the daily rate multiplied by six, and the monthly rate is the daily rate multiplied by twenty-one — those are the only two longer-booking figures we quote, and they are the same whether you collect in Chaweng or spend the week circling the island.
How the booking is agreed with a manager
We agree the booking with a manager before it is fixed, including the delivery address, the date and the time. We deliver the car to any address on Koh Samui and to Samui International Airport (USM); a delivery fee, if any, is agreed when booking. Nothing is confirmed until that conversation happens, so the sooner you send your arrival window, the more room we have to arrange the hand-over around your schedule.
- Documents: passport, home driving licence, International Driving Permit (unless you hold an ASEAN licence), and a bank card in the main driver's name.
- Security hold: a bank card in the main driver's name is used for the hold; the amount is set out in the rental agreement.
- Minimum age: 21. Conditions for drivers under 25 are set out in the rental agreement.
- Insurance: compulsory Por Ror Bor covers injury to third parties; Class 1 cover for the car and its excess are set out in the rental agreement.
- Contract: since 30 December 2025 a car rental agreement is a contract controlled by the OCPB, written in Thai, with all fees and penalties disclosed in it.
- Fines: traffic-camera fines are issued to the car owner and re-invoiced to the renter.
The question worth asking is not the daily rate but how long the car will actually be used — a month at ฿25,200 only makes sense if you are staying put, while a week at ฿7,200 suits the traveller who wants the island on their own timetable.

- Documents: a foreign visitor needs a home driving licence plus an International Driving Permit (1949 Geneva Convention; section 42 bis of the Motor Vehicle Act).

Keep the practical side simple
Documents for Thailand are a passport, your home driving licence, an International Driving Permit unless you hold an ASEAN licence, and a bank card in the main driver's name. Children under six need a TISI child seat, and everyone in the car wears a belt, including the rear row.
